Favre among top 10 most marketable athletes

Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre shares 10th place on a list of the most marketable athletes in North America, according to a survey of 65 sports business and media executives conducted by SportsBusiness Daily.
Favre is tied with NBA star Kobe Bryant and NHL star Sidney Crosby.
Pro golfer Tiger Woods is No. 1, followed by Peyton Manning, LeBron James, Derek Jeter, Dwyane Wade, Dale Earnhardt, Tom Brady, Shaquille O’Neal and Maria Sharapova.
Favre also got one vote for most marketable retired athlete, although the vote was cast before Favre announced he was returning for the 2007 season.
That list is topped by this top 10: Michael Jordan, Cal Ripken Jr., Charles Barkley, Jack Nicklaus, Lance Armstrong, Muhammad Ali, Dan Marino, Wayne Gretzky, Arnold Palmer and Andre Agassi.
Woods, James and Wade are the top three players on a list of players who’ll be most marketable in the future.
