Be realistic about it... Don't be like "calvin,ap, then Joe Thomas"
Just names... And maybe a 1 line caption why... Not paragraphs, just curious to see what people think... Ill start... These two would be my draft day best scenario...

1. Lynch / Merriweather / Randy (with third round)

or

2. Best safety on Board (prob Nelson) / Irons / Randy (with third round)...

Meacham

trade down in round two for extra 3rd

Griffin
3-Pittman
3- Best Available TE

1st Meachem
2nd Tony Hunt/Ben Grubbs
3rd Irons/Pittman(If we haven't selected a RB already) If we have Daymeion Hughes.

Lynch/best safety/Randy Moss for a 3rd

or

Griffin/Michael Turner for a 2nd/best WR available in the 3rd

I would trade

Pick 16 and 47 to NE for their picks 24, 28 and 91.

I would take that Olsen kid if Meachem wasn't there at 24.

I would trade out of 28 for a 2nd and whatever.

See ya'all on draft day!

Current picks:

1. Olsen
2. Eric Wright
3. Craig Davis

Ideally, I trade down in the first for another pick, then:

1. Meachem
2a. Anthony Spencer
2b/3a. Craig Davis
3. Fred Bennet/ other corner

Meachem is honestly the only guy listed in everyone's picks that I would NOT take. His college history of having the drops just scares the crap out of me. Everyone in here rips the Vikes for taking Williamson....Williamson didn't have the history of it in colelge like Meachem does.

My best draft day scenario is the wife goes out to visit her sister all day and Maria Sharapova comes over to have a few pints with the draft going on in the background.....

You mean the draft is just "in the backround"? It's just an afterthought?

Blasphemy.

Only if Maria stops by is it an afterthought.

You said best case scenario right?

1.) Amobi Okoye
2.) Sidney Rice
3.) Antonio Pittman

I would have a smile on my face after the first day.

Thompson has earned a great deal of trust with me through his drafts & personnel moves. Major points were won by his drafting of A.J. Hawk - avoiding the hysterical calls for last year's flavor-of-the-year 'super freak' TE.
So : even if this year's draft features picks I am less than familiar with, I am reasonably confident that the homework was done by the scouting staff & the players chosen will have a great chance to help the Packers.

Hawk was an ez pick for Ted IMO; there were a few in here pushing for Vern but by draft day at least 75% of the people in here were all about Hawk.

I thought more of Ted for what he did with the picks after round one. The only bad mistake was Rodgers and you will always miss on some.

I have a feeling that this year it going to be a lot like last.........with TT trading down a shitload of times to attempt to load up picks and fill out the multiple holes we have.

Trade down in 1st round for an extra 3rd round pick. Then:

1. Reggie Nelson
2. Sidney Rice
3. Brandon Jackson
3. Ben Patrick

Charles Woodson

Trade TT and our first, for a number one pick, then take Calvin.
2. trade for turner
3. trade for moss
4. best saftey
5. best TE

:P

oh, you said realistic?

1. Nelson, lynch, Olsen in that order
2. Rice, turner, merriweather, miller in that order
3. Moss, Weddle, Huges in that order

Can't see how anyone believes Pittman is available in the 3rd round. The guy is easily one of the top 4 RBs in the draft...and is a guaranteed top 50 pick, probably is a first rounder.

My dream right now...although there are still several pro days I'm waiting to hear results from.

1. Reggie Nelson...Leon Hall...or trade down.
2. Kenny Irons...best big WR left (Meachem, Rice, Jarrett, Bowe, Jones)

Pittman is not a first rounder.

Dream Draft: 8 picks, 8 pro-bowlers.

Pittman is not a first rounder.

Then who else will be? I agree Pittman isn't really a first round talent...neither is Lynch to me for that matter...but the likelihood based on the thin RB class is that teams with needs will reach.

That is why Pittman is a guaranteed top 50 pick IMO. He will certainly not last until the 3rd round.

BooHoo

Pittman won't be around in the 3rd Round. Someone will grab him before that.

See I think that as well, but at Fan Fest Thompson said "we don't have as many holes to fill as last year."....and..."now we're looking for quality of depth, not quantity of competition."....which tells me he's going to take as many of the top players on their board as possible without getting a bunch of guys. plus, how many "sherman" guys does he have to cut anymore? My gut tells me he's not going to trade as much as you think...If he is planning on trading for someone, turner/moss/whomever, then I could see him getting more picks.

I wouldn't be surprised by anything. Guys like Ernest Shazor are projected to go in the 2nd round and then don't get drafted. Pittman could go anywhere from late 1st to 3rd round, IMHO.

Were any of you like my buddy and myself were that day? Every round going, OK, how bout we take Shazor now? and not having any idea why NOBODY was taking him?

Same with Anntaj Hawthorne.

The thing with him is that he was busted for pot. Shazor didn't have any real concerns. It was just kind of a domino effect.

Any scenerio with Moss is good but this would be killer:

1. safety
2. trade - Turner
3. trade - Moss
