Hows the girlfriend healing up?

She's alright. Still can't put any weight on the foot so it seems to be a pretty bad sprain, but she is in good spirits and making the best of hobbleing around on campus :P

I am hopeful that she is 100% healed by Easter weekend so we can take a bike ride down by lake Michigan. I haven't done anything romantic in awhile for her so I am thinking I will play a picnic and a bonfire on the beach (provided it does not smell like dead fish)

How's it going for you, Freak Out?

Notice how much people hug when they are intoxicated?

People take everything to the extreme when they are drunk. It's kinda funny. They hug a lot. They hump a lot. They consume enough food to make a 300lber sick, etc.

Actually it's an interesting thing. Not the group hug, but hugging in general. People are really one way or the other about hugs. My family has always been huggers. My ex's family was not....so we would go there for x-mas and I'd hug his mom and the whole family looked at me like I was weird. btw, she still loves me.....probably because I was a hugger :P

Partial,

Women love to have their feet rubbed. Try that with a little lotion(though go easy on the foot with the ankle sprain).

Let the romance begin! :)

My maternal family isn't "hug" orientated but if any affection is shown it is almost always a hug. My mom will still give me a kiss on the cheek now and then but everyone else it's a hug. My married family is hug happy, kiss happy and everything in between. My kids, my son hates any sign of maternal affection and has since he was about 5. My daughter used to like the cheek kisses but now she just want a hug. Must be a teenage thing. She kisses my cheek when she wants to but it I am not allowed because it's embarrassing.

When we get a little drunk, okay A LOT drunk, the hugging doesn't intensify. I guess we are weird that way.

He's 20 now. He had some medical problems up until he was about 5. I don't want to get into it but basically he had some temporary learning disabilities due to the medical issues. He was smothered to death during his first 4-5 years so maybe he's just had enough! He's all good now, although he is turning out to be more of a geek/nerd then me.
