New Lions defensive coordinator Joe Barry says Paris Lenon is currently the team's starting middle linebacker, ahead of Teddy Lehman.

The staff probably isn't expecting much from Lehman after hoping he'd step up last season. This will be an area Detroit upgrades in the draft.

I usually don't rag on other teams but wow... This guy was trash on our team, and now hes starting MLB on the Lions...

Well, that tells you something about the state of the Lions.

I don't regard Lenon as "One who got away."

Don't rag the man too much, he filled in alright. Very versatile, I personally am glad he got his lucky break, and I chear him on untill he plays the pack.

Lenon is a plugger, but very limited in range. If this is the best the Kitties can come up with, they are hurtin'.

Lenon can back up at all the positionS ( Wil is his worst ) but a starter? NAH!

Mediocre backup. Horrific starter.

Never a good idea to project a career journeyman as your starter.

Hey Matt, there's a thing called the NFL draft you might want to wait on first. Ever hear of that?

I didn't think so.

There was an old joke kicking around one of our Forums:

Maybe Millen meant "Paris Hilton" - she could get in some good licks.

It is not hard to imagine Lenon as the starter.
Detroit is not projecting him as the starter, they are re-affirming it.

Lenon started for Detroit the entire 2006 season, all 16 games.

This is where my favorite scout's saying applies: he's "just a guy."

I can't decide what my favorite scouts' saying is ...

"Million dollar body with a ten cent head?"

"Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane?"

"Ain't gonna split any atoms but knows how to play ball?"

I always enjoy reading McGinn's pre-draft writeups that contain direct quotes from the scouts. They're just full of gems like these.
