He'll be outof the league in a year. You don't last long playing like he does, add in the character and drug issues and

Come on....the guy was just heading out for a little dog fighting action and he wanted to be protected in case a dog goes apeshit.

I didn't know he was a jag. Did they pick him up last year, or this offseason?

He signed with J'ville about a week after the Packers released him.

Don't be surprised if Commissioner Goodell gives him the Pac-Man treatment.

Which means with Carroll's talent level, it's career-ending.

I'm so glad the Packers squatted and grunted this guy out of the organization.

From Wikipedia.........

Carroll is known around the league by the nicknames "Grabby Smurf," for his tendency to commit illegal contact penalties, and also by the name "Highway 28," in the sense that opposing receivers speed past him into the endzone.

In Week 4 of the 2006 season, the Green Bay Packers played the Philadelphia Eagles and Ahmad Carroll was burned for two costly touchdowns by Greg Lewis, which proved to be the final straw as he was cut shortly afterwards.

On March 25, 2007 the Jaguars signed Carroll, a restricted free agent, to another contract. Terms were not released.

• 34 Games played with the Green Bay Packers

• 28 Games in which Carroll started

• 33 Total penalty flags thrown against Carroll

• 26 Penalties called for coverage violations such as pass interference, illegal contact, and holding

• 256 Penalty yards enforced as a result of 24 infractions that were not declined or offset by another penalty

• 11 Touchdowns Carroll allowed in coverage

• 3 Interceptions by Carroll

I have made a personal vow not to enjoy this. At all. Ever. Even for a minute. Its a tragedy.

Even if it shows that Carroll has worse timing than Pac Man Jones.

If you recall, at the time the Pack cut Carroll, there was no one (Dendry?) behind him to play the nickel, and the Packers were not playing well. Although some folks called the cut a scapegoating move, it was also in some respects a somewhat (only somewhat) gutsy call, as he was still considered to be young and with some upside. Most people here were glad he was gone, but there was some trepidation. Good move to make that cut.

And Ecstasy? Geez, not alcohol or pot, but Ecstasy? That's one effed-up young man.

I was glad to see this turd get pushed out of Green Bay. Turds like this belong on turd team like the Jags. I hope he gets suspended.

A couple of the newspapers called Thompson out for cutting a guy with nobody behind him. They like to stir shit but it's funny that they never get publicly called out. I wish there was a sub media whose job was to hold the media accountable :)

I'd like them to have to read about it though. It would be justice.

I commend you for being willing to admit it.

Truthfully, I kind of liked the guy too. Always did think he'd straighten out eventually.

When you look back, him coming into GB and claiming to be the "original" batman over an established Pro Bowl running back, probably should have given everyone a "clue" he was a tad self absorbed... no?

good bye, good luck, good riddance...
