We have AJ Hawk. He's a young, hungry, dominate lookign LB in the making. Aaron Kampman had a probowl year. Barnett got locked up long term. Harris, Woodson, Collins and Manuel have had a year to get to know each other and seemed to tighten it up toward the end there. Harrell will add strenght and depth to our DT rotation. Jennings was on pace for 1000 yard season before his injury. The O line looked promising and could be a strength. The Drama Queen is still a pretty good QB and he's back. MOrencey is said to have transformed his body in the off season and Jackson has some promise. Our ST's looks to have a better year with the athleticism in our cover guys and the improvement or change in our specialists.

The season hasn't even started. Let's see the improvement of our guys before we call the off season a failure.

Damn Favre for getting all this started. It was a big enough blow not getting Randy Moss and then drafting Harrell at 16, but now this.
I love AJ Hawk. I hope this crap blows over and we have a good season. Thanks for the optimism.

Thanks for the good response. I know how a lot of you guys feel and I do understand it. I have a pretty strong belief in how Thompson does things so it is hard for me to see him taking this flack because I relate to him but I do see where everyone is coming from. If we have a pathetic loser of a team, my seemingly undieing alegiance to Thompson will be OVER. As for now, I still think this team stands a chance to be damn good. I want to see them play just to end this crap for now. If things are bad, I'll be right with you guys and Thompson will probably be fired so we'll be having different conversations.

Don't forget we had 3 rookies playing on the OL last year who will get better. Jenkins was locked up long-term and looks to take the other starting DE spot, letting KGB become a pure pass-rusher again. We added another receiver in Jones (I know, everyone said "who?", but we did the same thing about Collins, Colledge, and Jennings, and they all turned out fine), along with a speedster in Clowney and SS depth in Rouse. We got a potential nickelback in Walker (and remember, that's all Al Harris was before he got his shot here, as well).

I honestly think we have a good shot at making the playoffs this year.

Everyone is always talking about the rookie linemen that were starting. It may be they were only starting because there was no one better, not because they were starting material. They may turn out to be all pros, but I remember not being able to run the ball against anyone good and max protecting all the time. I hope to God they get better or it's 4-12 next year!

I agree. If they are the same as last year, we suck. We saw some god awfull OG's the year before, so I do think these guys did show some promise in relation to Klemm and Whittaker.

Not saying a whole lot there though!
