1. Texans - Mario *That's a freebee*
2. Saints - Bush
3. Titans - Young
4. Jets - Davis
5. Packers - Hawk

It just so happens that the 4 who go before us are the top 4 athletes in the draft and they drop in order of most freaky to least. Hawk and Ferguson are about even by my account of atheltic measurements but are both a solid step down from Davis by my estimation.

My hope is that we land Vernon Davis but with Mario going #1 it really hit me that teams will take the better athlete almost every time.

I was just going to post this thread after I read that you thought Davis was going to the Jets at #4 and I was trying to figure it out. Good Call.

I just don't see TT trading up. He's never done it and with all the holes we have we can't afford to give up picks to move up 3 spots unless we're just trading 1st rounders and we're throwing JWalk in the deal??

If the Saints doesnt want Walker, Thompson could probably trade him to Denver for their 2nd and 4th (if the report is corect). Trade the 5th overall and Denvers 2nd and perhaps a 5th rounder to move up to get the 2nd spot. Thompson would not lose any pick if all the above occurs.

I would do that if i cant get Moss and Huff.

If we don't trade for Bush, I see it shakin out like this:

1. Houston - SuperMario
2. New Orleans - Reggie Bush
3. Titans - Vince Young
4. Jets - D'Brickashaw Ferguson
5. PACK - VERNON DAVIS

Yes ladies and gentleman, we pass on a slipping Matt Leinart as well as A.J. Hawk to select Davis. Favre gets another weapon, Rodgers gets his "Antonio Gates"..

I hope so BF4...I studied up on Ferguson lately and I have a hard time believing he goes that high......I'm thinking the Jets are going to have to take Davis....

I'm thinking that the saints really want hawk or Brick but can't take them at #2 if they don't have to. The Jets are just primed to knab bush, but if they don't I don't think that the Saints have to take Bush. I think they may still go with hawk or Brick.
I think if that happened it wouldn't affect the titans who I think are going QB either way. The Jets then will piss off their fans no matter what they do. It is very possible that Bush is there at #5. All will be revealed in less than 9 hours.

yeah I'd do that too Tank. As long as we don't lose picks, I'm all for it. We desperately need all of our picks and then some.
