It is that time of year again where fans like me look at the transaction page and see other teams signing their picks and wondering why Andrew Brandt likes to wait until After the 4th of July to start signing guys that were drafted at the begining of May.

As of this post there are now less than 1400 hours until training camp.

Now I know Andrew does not have to deal with psychos like Rosenhaus(Lance Briggs), The Poston Family, Joel Segal or Tom Condon. But he should be able to get a deal done soon.

A guy like Desmond Bishop ought to be relatively easy to sign.

Anyway here is my annual look at the agents except for Aaron Rouse(who is his agent!).

The NFL Players Association and Sports Illustrated ranked Bauer fifth in their published list of the NFL’s Top 10 agents.
At one time represented 47 NFL players and 3 head coaches. This agent has not had any troublesome negotiations that I can find except for Smith.

4) Third Round pick Aaron Rouse
I don't know who his agent is!!

5) Fourth Round pick Allen Barbre

This agency seems to rerpresent many mid round picks. This should not be too difficult as they seem to be a professional and have not had bad situations.

He is still working his way up the agent ladder and gets many clients from Division II schools. Nothing out of line with this agent.

9) Sixth Round pick Mason Crosby
Agent: Michael S. McCartney
Priority Sports & Entertainment
325 N. LaSalle Street
Suite 650
Chicago IL, 60610
Phone:(312) 664-7700

website: http://www.prioritybasketball.biz/football/MikeMcCartney.html
Active Contracts Negotiated:17

Represents 1st rounders AJ Hawk and Luis Castillo, he is part of a firm that has clients like Kurt Warner, Robert Gallery, Jake Delhomme.

The agency will work a lot of incentives into the contract. I'd guess that Crosby's contract will be the last of the 6th rounders to be signed. Perhaps that is why he was selected 3 of 3.

10) Seventh Round pick DeShaun Wynn
Agent: David E. Canter
DEC Management
18940 SW 32nd Street
Miramar FL, 33029
Phone:(954) 599-4499

Active Contracts Negotiated:12

Represents Zach Thomas, Mike Peterson, Chad Jackson, Todd Sauerbrun, the late Damien Nash of the Broncos, Stephen Davis and viking Troy Williamson. I will be suprised if this is not the first contract signed.

Professional Credentials Member of IL Bar
Active Contracts Negotiated:2

Represents LB Rob Reynolds of the Titans(arrested last season for domestic violence and was suspended at OH state for choking Jim Sorgi on the field.), I don't know to whom the other active NFL contract belongs. Few distractions at this agency.

This article if read carefully will explain some confusion regarding Flanagan and Flanigan

I suggest you read some of the articles to get some insite on each agent.

I really don't anticipate much trouble with this group of agents.

I did use a couple of search engines.
Some of those articles I found are pretty good.

Good work, Cheese. It's always good to know what you're going to be getting with these agents.

I don't know if its a huge deal. All these signings are going to fall in line one way or another. It just depends on who signs ahead/ behind you and filling in a number in between. Like Lemmings jumping off a cliff. Once one starts they'll all go :)

Yeah, I've always wanted to be just like Drew Rosenhaus. :)

Yeah, I've always wanted to be just like Drew Rosenhaus. :)

I thought he went to Hogwarts.

No, that's where they learn to be a witch. He went somewhere to learn how to screw people for their money.

Two to three seasons ago Rosenhaus was all you heard about.
He has barely made a whimper in the last year.

I think some of the other agents took him behind the barn and discussed the advantages of working together!

I guess if you're a seventh round pick you're not going to have the Drew Rosenhauses of the sports world knocking at your door...this agent must have a tough time signing guys. "Yeah, JeMarcus, I'll do good by you. Do I have experience? Sure. Hey, I represent Rob Reynolds. Yeah, Rob Reynolds. The linebacker? Tennessee Titans? JeMarcus? JeMarcus? Damn, he hung up."

I suppose you just have to try and sign every Tom, Dick, and Clark Harris out there in the late rounds and hope one of them becomes a Tom Brady or a Marques Colston.

My respect for Clowney's agent, Brian Mackler at Sportstars Inc., has gone up for getting him signed.

If I was betting on it I would have thought Bishop or Hall would have been the first to sign.

Andrew Brandt must get the others signed at a rate of one evey 5 days to have them all done by the start of training camp.

Tarlam!

Respect Cheez.

This is great research. It's posters like you (that go to a lot of trouble to provide real insights for us all) that make this the outstanding forum that it is.

Kudos.

Well the Virginia Tech guys got their contracts done first.

Now the Packers have their 7th round picks signed or 36% of their draft picks.

Wynn's agent is out of Miami and in direct backyard competition with Rosenhaus.

I get a little impatient with the Packers when it comes to signings. Especially when I see the Bears placing a priority on getting it done quickly.

Bishop, Hall, and Barbre should be getting their contracts finalized shortly as I see little reason to drag their feet.

I will not be suprised if Harrell's deal is done before Jackson's and Crosby to be the 8th to sign.

I just read something recently that said Eugene Parker (Harrell and Jennings' agent) has good working relations with the Packer front office, which bodes well for negotiations with him. I hope we are paying Andrew Brandt well. He seems to get the job done.
