Leopard is going to knock Vista right out of the park. Steve Jobs made me a 100% firm believer today. 129 for tons of useful features 500 doesn't get you in Vista.

Safari is now available for windows. The best, fastest, and prettiest web browser out there. I am stoked. You should all try it immediately.

Safari is nice. I am using it right now.

I don't know why they don't add a homepage button directly to the UI to start.

www.apple.com/safari

download the beta. Change the homepage to google, and go to edit, customize toolbar and add a homepage button. It is then the ultimate browser.

It will take a day or so to build a cache, but once you do it will be almost twice as fast as Firefox.

OS X is just as annoying as Windows, if not more so, and yes I use them both.

Safari is a lot like IE, perfectly good for downloading Firefox.

Safari was by far the fastest web browser and now it is even faster. FF did get it 100% right with the 2.0+ revisions have every browser window function as a "session". When you're looking up porn and it crashes and you can straight back to the same movie via the restore session button!

Take the tour and watch the videos. It will take about 10 minutes but it will be pretty informative.

OS 10.5 is making Vista look terrible. Apple really seems to have done a great job of adding useful, make-life-easier features for the user.

Steve Jobs is not a good person. I am not a fan of his at all. Bill Gates has done 100x more to better the world than Jobs. I do share his beliefs on user interfaces, though.

Actually, my Dad has spoken with Jobs, and I think went out to dinner with him one time. He says that the guy has some weird traits, but he's a pretty nice and relaxed guy. He told me once that he went to an expo in New York in the middle of January and Jobs comes out in a sweater and Hawaiian shorts. Doesn't really fit into the business niche like Gates does. However, my Dad said that Gates is just a really great guy to talk to and is really genuine.

It's good to know that all that effort to improve technology is advancing the cause of human 'growth' and learning.

Lots of security holes so far. I wouldn't download it yet.

I think it pretty much only exists for windows-based iPhone development. It is very, very buggy so far.

Yes, that is an apple fanboy telling you to steer clear of their software.

Ditto.

I do graphic design and web development. Safari is good but not great. Firefox is much more stable.

I have worked on both Mac and PC platforms. (Macs more so due to the graphic design part).

I will probably download Safari for my wife's PC to give it a go. Though some swear by IE, I absolutely can't stand it.

For CSS and HTML coding, there are so many workarounds needed for IE. You have to alter basic coding to make certain web page functions look the same as on other browsers.

Why not use Camino for a Mac instead of Firefox? It is essentially Firefox except optimized and aqua-ized.

Latest rev of FF has a serious memory leak....I've rolled back to 2.0.0.2

2.0.0.4 crashes a lot. It is irritating.
