Barnett is a choir boy by comparison. Packman and his group need to go to jail for a long time for the protection of society.

ATLANTA -- Suspended NFL player Adam "Pacman" Jones was being sought by police for questioning about a shooting early Monday involving members of his entourage after a fight at an Atlanta strip club.

We believe he knows some of his entourage who were involved in the shooting. On himself, we do not have any charges on him. He wasn't there when the shooting occurred.

Police officer Ariel Toledo

Jones, a cornerback for the Tennessee Titans on suspension following a melee and shooting at a Las Vegas strip club, his group and three other people got into a fight, apparently over a woman, at a club around 4 a.m., officer Ariel Toledo said.

After everyone involved left the strip club -- the three people in one car, and Jones and his entourage in three other cars -- someone in Jones' group shot at the car, and the others returned fire, Toledo said.

Toledo said Jones was not present when the shots were fired.

"We believe he knows some of his entourage who were involved in the shooting," Toledo said. "On himself, we do not have any charges on him. He wasn't there when the shooting occurred."

One person who was outside the vehicles and not involved in the dispute was injured by debris in the shooting and was treated by emergency medical technicians, Toledo said.

Manny Arora, Jones' attorney, said he was trying to find out what had happened from the police, but he understood Jones was sought only as a witness to the incident.

Authorities have also been investigating what role Jones had in a February shooting outside a Las Vegas club that left a bar employee paralyzed and two other people wounded.

Attorney Robert Langford said no evidence tied Jones to the shooting, but an aide to Clark County District Attorney David Roger said it could take several days to decide if there is enough information to file charges against Jones and two friends.

The Las Vegas allegations were among a series of arrests and encounters with police that led NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to suspend Jones for one season.

Jones agreed last week not to appeal the suspension. The 23-year-old player could be reinstated after 10 games for good behavior if he adheres to conditions set by Goodell and is not arrested again. Missing the entire season would cost him his salary of nearly $1.3 million.

But, he hasn't been convicted of anything yet. And I don't think its just because he is a celebrity. It seems he rolls with a bad crowd but is smart enough to let his friends do his dirty work to an extent.

ROSEMONT, Ill. -- Still awaiting the facts on the latest incident in which Adam "Pacman" Jones is alleged to have been involved, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said here Tuesday that it is too soon to say if the Tennessee Titans cornerback violated the terms of his suspension.

Clayton: Friend trouble

If Pacman Jones wants to get reinstated, he's going to have to find some new friends. Quick Hits Insider

Jones is being sought for questioning by DeKalb County, Ga., police following an alleged verbal altercation inside an Atlanta-area strip club early Monday morning. The altercation allegedly led to a shooting a few blocks away from the club.

Police have said that Jones was not involved in the shooting, but may have knowledge of people who were. Jones has not been charged in the incident and a spokesperson for the DeKalb County police said the former first-round pick is not a suspect.

"I would prefer to wait until I know everything that went on before I comment specifically on the incident," said Goodell, who is attending the NFL player health and safety conference dealing with concussions. "So I don't know if 'disappointed' is a fair term to describe how I feel. When I met with Pacman last week, he told me he was taking steps to change things in his life, and he seemed sincere about it. I hope that's the case. But I don't have the facts yet."

The league is, however, investigating the latest incident, in an effort to ascertain Jones' role, if any.

One of the changes Jones told Goodell he intended to make was to stay out of clubs and to avoid situations in which he might be compromised. Goodell has said that he has apprised Jones that he will ultimately be judged by his actions, not his words.

"Yes, he did say that he was going to stay away from those places that might be a problem, or places where there could be trouble," Goodell acknowledged.

The incident in DeKalb County occurred only six days after Jones dropped his appeal of the one-year suspension imposed by Goodell in April.

The suspension could be reduced to 10 games if Jones meets certain stipulations, one of which is that he have no further involvement with law enforcement officials. Jones is still the subject of separate investigations in incidents in Georgia and Las Vegas.

LAS VEGAS -- Suspended NFL player Adam "Pacman" Jones will face two felony charges in a strip club melee that preceded a triple shooting in February, Las Vegas police and the Clark County District Attorney's office said Wednesday.

Two other people previously identified by police as friends of the troubled Tennessee Titans cornerback also will face felony charges in the fracas inside the Minxx club, police said in a statement.

No one is named in the shooting that occurred later outside the club and left a bar employee paralyzed, police Capt. James Dillon said.

Warrants were issued for the arrests of Jones, Robert Reid of Carson, Calif., and Sadia Morrison of New York, Dillon said.

Pacman charged in Las Vegas shooting
By Sports Network - The Sports Network

Suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones has been charged with two counts of felony coercion stemming from a shooting outside a Las Vegas nightclub on the weekend of the NBA All- Star Game in February.

According to a statement from the Las Vegas police department, two other people -- Robert Reid and Sadia Morrison -- were also charged. Reid faces one count of felony coercion. Morrison, meanwhile, has been charged with one count of felony assault with a deadly weapon, one count of felony battery with a deadly weapon, one count of felony coercion, one count of felony coercion with use of a deadly weapon and one count of burglary.

Arrest warrants have been issued for all three people.

Jones has had numerous run-ins with the law and his actions prompted NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to levy a one-year suspension on April 10. Goodell said, at the time, the suspension could have been reduced to 10 games if certain conditions were met.

An appeal by Jones was filed, but he dropped it on May 12 after meeting with Goodell.

The Las Vegas incident occurred early in the morning of February 19 at the Minxx Gentlemen's Club. An unidentified black male shot three people after a melee inside and outside the club.

A bar bouncer was left paralyzed after the shooting, while two others suffered minor injuries.

Jones is charged with coercion for the battery, biting of and interference of the bar bouncer who was attempting to protect other patrons and employees. He also threatened to kill the bouncer, according to police reports.

Coercion is the act of threatening or physically interfering with a person trying to do something that he or she has a right and responsibility to do.

According to the criminal complaint and police investigation filed in Clark County, the incident started when two dancers in the club were fighting. Jones joined in the fracas because he knew one of the dancers.

The bar bouncer, Aaron Cudworth, tried to break up the fight by grabbing Jones and began escorting him to the exit. Jones then jumped on the stage and said he wasn't going anywhere before threatening Cudworth's life.

After Cudworth again grabbed Jones, Reid -- a 400-pound man acting as Jones' bodyguard -- knocked the two men down. Jones tried to throw punches at Cudworth, who was eventually bitten on the ankle by Jones.

Morrison, according to police, then hit Cudworth with a champagne bottle, but the bouncer was able to escort Jones out of the club. Morrison, at this time, continued with other illegal actions inside the club.

The police report continued that Jones, once outside the club, told Cudworth he would shoot him and began simulating a weapon in his clothing by reaching under his shirt.

Cudworth went back inside the club, but later returned outside the front doors because of another altercation. As he turned to walk back into the club, the unidentified male produced a semi-automatic handgun and fired approximately five or six times toward Cudworth, who was shot in the chest and left forearm.

Biting on the ankle?! That's like Carmelo Anthony's throwing a punch and running off.

Honestly, this guy is a completely clueless individual. Goodell was giving him every chance to get back in LESS than 1 season. Obviously hanging around with the same posse and acting like a bunch of gang bangers isn't rehabilitating his image.

Hopefully he will never set foot on an NFL field again.

Just how dumb can Pacman be?
Michael Rosenberg

If you are Pacman Jones — and I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are not — then you must live by a few simple rules:

1. Attend all Tennessee Titans' functions ... oh, wait. Not allowed to do that.

2. Brush teeth every morning. Good oral hygiene is the key to a happy gangsta lifestyle.

3. After brushing teeth, look self in mirror and say, "Today, I vow to stay away from all strip-club shootings."

We're not even talking about 12 steps here. Imagine my surprise, then, to see the following story come over the Associated Press wire ...

Suspended NFL player Adam "Pacman" Jones was being sought by police for questioning about a shooting early Monday involving members of his entourage after a fight at an Atlanta strip club.

The story goes on to report that Pacman's "group and three other people got into a fight, apparently over a woman." Now, this last part is not surprising. You rarely see shots fired at a strip club at 4 a.m. because of a fight over, for example, a cocker spaniel.

Pacman, buddy, pal ... this isn't that hard. I don't mean to brag, but I recently went 17 consecutive days without anybody in my entourage firing a gun at a strip club.

I am not saying Pacman is guilty of anything. From all appearances, he won't even be charged with anything. The police simply think Pacman might have some insight into this particular strip-club shooting — I assume that is because his boys were supposedly involved, but it might be because Pacman is the nation's leading authority on strip-club shootings.

Anyway, if it turns out that anybody in Jones' "group" fired shots at this strip club, he should be removed.

Not from the NFL.

From the planet.

Seriously, how dumb can a guy be? Jones has been suspended for the entire 2007 season in the wake of his actions in a strip-club shooting. (Refresher: Jones supposedly threw a bunch of money at strippers, then was terribly upset when the strippers thought he was, you know, throwing money to them. Obviously, he was just making a creative artistic statement about the corruptive influence of money. Next thing he knew, shots were fired and a bouncer was paralyzed. Hey, Warhol was misunderstood, too.)

Frankly, it would be nice if Pacman gathered the fellas and asked them not to fire shots anywhere. But I understand he must begin with baby steps.

So this week, maybe they can concentrate on not firing shots at a strip club. Once they get the hang of that, they can move to not firing shots at a supermarket, not firing shots at a Starbucks, and not firing shots at an all-you-can eat Chinese buffet.

Yes, I have a dream that someday Pacman and his, uh, ghosts will be able to order General Tso's chicken AND the lo mein without discharging a firearm.

In the meantime, back to the whole "don't fire shots at a strip club" thing. Hey, if these guys have a gun fetish, who am I to judge? All I'm saying is this: You're at a strip club. Isn't that enough entertainment? Can't you put the guns away for a few hours?

I know this is hard to believe, but men looked at nearly naked women for many centuries before anybody even thought to invent a gun. Come to think of it, this may explain the delay: All potential gun inventors were distracted.

Good luck, Pacman. A nation obsessed with football and violence is watching closely. And if we should hear of any other strip-club shootings and need further comment ... well, we know where to find you.

Vegas Strip Club Bouncer Sues 'Pacman'
June 25, 2007 - 10:23pm
By RYAN NAKASHIMA
Associated Press Writer

LAS VEGAS (AP) - A bouncer who was shot and said his left ankle was bitten by Adam "Pacman" Jones in a strip club melee sued the suspended NFL player and other members of his entourage for damages Monday.

The suit for an unspecified amount was filed with the Clark County District Court on behalf of Aaron Cudworth three days after the Tennessee Titans' cornerback surrendered in Las Vegas on two felony charges of coercion and posted $20,000 in bail.

Facts about the Feb. 19 melee and shooting, which paralyzed another strip club bouncer and wounded one other person, were confirmed in charges that the district attorney filed against Jones on Wednesday, said Cudworth's lawyer, Richard Schonfeld.

"When they made their filing, it confirmed what I was looking for," Schonfeld said. The civil case can proceed independently of the criminal trial, he said.

Jones' Las Vegas attorney Robert Langford said he had not seen the suit and declined comment late Monday. A message left after business hours at the Atlanta office of one of Jones' attorneys, Manny Arora, wasn't immediately returned.

The melee at Minxx Gentleman's Club during NBA All-Star weekend was sparked after Jones threw cash from a plastic trash bag on stage to "make it rain" for dancers as tips, according to the suit.

When two dancers began to fight over the cash at about 4:30 a.m., Jones grabbed one by the hair and punched her in the face two or three times, the suit says.

Cudworth wrapped his arms around Jones from behind, but let go when the club manager was escorting Jones outside. Jones jumped back on stage, vowing not to leave, cursing Cudworth and threatening to kill him, the suit says.

After Cudworth again tried to restrain Jones, the suit says he was knocked over by Jones' 400-pound bodyguard, Robert Reid, 37, of Compton, Calif. Jones took a swing at Cudworth, who restrained Jones, the suit says. That's when Jones bit Cudworth on the ankle, according to the suit.

Jones escaped, and when Cudworth pursued him, Sadia Morrison, 25, of New York, allegedly smashed a champagne bottle over the bouncer's head, cutting him.

Cudworth finally forced Jones outside, where he says Jones threatened to shoot him and acted as if he was reaching for a weapon in his waistband. The suit says a witness heard Jones tell another member of his group, "Let's smoke this fool."

Later, the suit alleges that a member of Jones' group fired a black semiautomatic handgun five or six times toward Cudworth, hitting him in the chest and left arm, causing permanent injury. Another bouncer, Thomas Urbanski, was shot in the left hand and the torso, and was left paralyzed from the waist down. A female club patron was wounded in the head.

Cudworth is suing Jones, Reid, Morrison and others for assault, battery, false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Schonfeld said Cudworth underwent "multiple surgeries" and lost wages as a result.

Jones, 23, who has been suspended by the NFL for the 2007 season, is scheduled to return to Las Vegas on July 23 to face criminal charges that carry a maximum of 12 years in prison and a $10,000 fine if he is convicted.

Out West we don't like back shooters.

The cowards waited until the bouncer was returning to the club and shot him 6 times in the back!!

Secondly, this Jones punk violated strip club ettiquette.

A) He assaulted a stripper and then prevented her from picking up money.

When you throw money, it's gone. You can't punch a stripper in the face to get it back or direct it to another stripper. Of course the bouncer is going to intervene when he held the gal in position by her hair and repeatedly punched her in the face!! and later jumped on stage.

B) Dudes rarely are allowed on the stage and only with permission.

C) Don't fight with the Bouncer.

The Bouncer when he had his hands full dealing with Punkman, Punkman's "bodyguard" or entourage member hit the bouncer in the head with a champagne bottle. Well champagne bottles are extra thick to withstand the high pressure of the champagne. They hurt a lot worse than a regular wine bottle or even a cheap beer bottle. Ouch!! Right in the head could have killed him.

The entourage member was from Compton CA. That is a violent ghetto near Los Angeles.

The state of Nevada will join the suit once they know the total of worker's comp benefits paid to the bouncer. Multiple surgeries are not cheap. Training a wheel chair bound worker for a new occupation is not cheap.

Obviously, Punkman will eventually get the lifetime ban and be playing in the CFL. He will get to start all over again with a clean record to the Canadian Authorities.
