This afternoon--Gold cup soccer final. I think I was told it's gonna be played in Chicago. The US beat Canada to get there (sorry Buck) and Mexico, I think beat Bolivia.

I know this is the soccer mom extreme, but you have to remember, soccer players have very nice legs. VERY nice legs.

Women soccer players are also VERY nice people!

As fans who follow college soccer know, the University of Portland women's soccer team is usually ranked in the top 10 in the country. They even won the NCAA Championship titile several years ago.

One of the "Soccer Moms" on my daughter's 5th grade soccer team arranged for the young girls to visit the UP's locker room before a big game.

Several of our Soccer Moms escorted the young girls into the locker room while a handful of "Soccer Dads," like me. had to wait outside. We heard peals of gigglying laughter and screams come from that room!

After 10 about minutes, the fifth-graders came out bublbing with autographs and shared experiences of "I got to talk with this player" and "She was so cool" types of expressions.

The girsl received a cherished experience they will never forget.

excuse me, I thought this was another immigrant debate. i have something to say.

my position on illegal immigrants evolved over the weekend. I went to one of those pick-your-own strawberry places yesterday (last day of the season) and managed to gather three quarts. Today, my shoulder and back are so sore I can barely sit at a computer and type.

Open the borders!

The lesson for you Harlan should be to get out there and do MORE manual labor! Chop that firewood, clear that brush(even our beloved President likes to do that), and pull those weeds. You will be a better and more fit man for it! :)

USA wins. (and as a sidenote, Univision announcers make John Madden seem tame!)

Oh, and some dude from the US team made a spectacular goal and someone got knocked into tomorrow. I wonder if he can see straight yet. Also, how come in a match in Chicago, the vast majority of people in the stands were rooting for Mexico?
