The Oregon State Beavers baseball team repeated today as National Champions in the College World Series defeating U. of North Carolina!
It is the first time in 10 years that a college baseball team has repeated as National Division I Champions.
Woodbuck, I hope you saw how the Beavers greeted teammate Jorden Lennerton, who is from British Columbia, Canada. For the second time in two games, he hit a two-run homer.
Known as "Moose," his teammates met him at home plate with hands to the sides of their heads mimicking Moose Antlers. He "Locked Horns" with each one of them on his way to the dugout.
For the second year in a row, the Oregon State players did not have as much individual talent as other teams in the playoffs but they had great team talent and executed plays very well.
Yes, the kids from the cool, rainy Northwest can play baseball with the best of the kids from warmer parts of the country. Go Beavers!
