I swear the first 3 weeks of July are the worst for football. It's like there is a news blackout. I look every-where on-line but just can't find a fix. Nothing new, just the same ole crap.

Tried watching a few games from last year, but it's just a momentary cure. I try to fill time with fantasy baseball, but I just don't have the same passion as I do with the ole pigskin.

Damn, it's gonna be a looooooooooonnnnnnggggg 3 weeks.

No, but I know a few posters here that could benefit from re-watching that game. Guarenteed to turn the strongest kool-aid sour!

How about the season opener in which I travelled from WV by plane to watch. That game turned my kool-aid into cat piss.

That's why i've restarted an old obsession...The Brewers.

Works out great because they are on almost every day.

At least the Brewers are watchable this year (ESPECIALLY watchable, in fact!).

This is the first year that I'm not constantly checking Packer news sites even though they aren't being updated.

It's wonderful!

Why would watching the New England game turn anyone sour?

Yeah...we can't wait to see Favre a few months out of the year. You Bears fans are lucky cuz you can see your QB all year round....just flip over to the gay porn channel. By the way, what was the outcome of the last game of the regular season? That's right...the same outcome as the Super Bowl...the Bears lost!

Again??? You've got a short, selective memory.

I may regret saying this, but I miss Cliff Christl. At least he'd have fairly detailed practice rundowns etc. to go over.

Other than that, I agree with Bearman's overall sentiment; it's July, it's summer, it's time for baseball. There's football to talk about for 11 months out of the year - frankly, I'm glad for the one month break. ;)

Jesus could be writing for JSO and it wouldn't matter. The NFL has placed so many restrictions on mini-camps, it's hard to get any news.

Do you get any CFL games where you are?

The CFL games are loaded with entertainment and lots of scoring.

I'm also watching the FIFA Cup of soccer (football) presently the big deal up here in Canada. It's very solid.

I use to be a big fan of the CFL- until I started betting on the games. Was doing good for a while, then there was a game where I was laying 6 points and up by 18 with 5 minutes to play. I ended up losing and vowed NEVER to watch a CFL game again.

Yup,

Alot can happen in a short time in our game. It really is exciting football with many explosive plays.

for me the draft just knocked the wind right out of me

TT has decided that the packers will be the most boring team in the world between seasons. you get your hopes up for something good to happen to this team, then you get kicked in the nuts

that and work has me stressed and dead tired everyday

but i'm tring to get back on here

I saw in the local paper that on some CFL team former Oregon Duck(and Green Bay Packer tryout) Akili Smith connected on a touchdown pass to former Oregon State Beaver RB Ken Simonton. Having a former Duck and a former Beaver on the same team is like mixing oil and water! :)

What's on with FIFA these days? The only thing I can find is the pro league and I can get the American Cup and South American Cup if I'm willing to watch them in Spanish...

Welcome Back Red,

I came to this conclusion after the draft as well and lowered my near term expectations. It's a lot easier to cope with then

The under 20 Mens World Championships are being hosted by Canada in four cities. There are 24 countries competing in six divisions, with I believe,18 teams going to a playoffs.

Argentina is the defending Champ.

It will take most of a month or more before it's decided.

The worst part of it is having to put up with the droll of certain British announcers. :) Overall the play is quite good and demonstrates the future of that sport.

yeah, thanks Buck. We found it yesterday, but could only get it in Spanish. Mexico was putting the beatdown on Portugal when I finally made my son stop watching and go to bed.

I watched that game and it went down as Mexico 2 - Portugal 1.
