Strahan got close to the record on merit.

The final one some would prefer to blame on Bubba Franks.

Tauscher is emphatic that Strahan was not his assignment on the play.

It was 6 years ago and it's a record nobody cared about except Mark Gastineau and Michael Strahan.

How many people knew Gastineau held the record? How many people knew sacks weren't an official NFL stat until 1982?

I'm sure Deacon Jones had more sacks than Gastineau or Strahan in a season.
