Mad, Nutz and Skin in a car together.....or worse yet, a Minivan!!! I have a feeling a comedy could be made from this trip.

Forget pics from the game. I want to see pics from the roadtrip!! :P

They have already entitled a movie remake about this gathering: "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly."

Has anyone got a time to meet at Fuzzy's yet??

I haven't been this 'anxious' in a long time!!!!!!!!!!!!

I say we should meet when the doors open - 3:15. I think a few are parking near my house and then we'll pile in 1 or 2 cars instead of all of us having to drive. I only live a mile from the stadium. Although for you, of course you'll be walking from your hotel!

I do plan on getting a close parking spot though. Paying isn't a big deal, especially splitting the cost with others. plus I will probably have a cooler in my car if we want to walk around instead of staying at the tailgate party the whole time. That IMO, is half the fun, just getting out and seeing everything.

Well you guys can take him if you want. It'd probably work better for me but if he needs a lift I'll make it happen.
Thanks player but I'll just go with Nutz since it is on his way and the time works for him. Just get their early enough to get your drink on and you can crash out in my room.

I suppose I should know this but what do you like to drink? I'll bring up some stuff. I'll bring up a selection of Wisconsin's finest perhaps:

Some Pabst Blue Ribbon, some Miller Genuine Draft, and some Leines. Do you guys get any of the Leines out in Cali?

Are there any micro breweries on the way up from Chicago? I could pick a keg up so we would have something to drink before the game. I alway like to sample the local brews when I can.

Just an opinion, but I think you would have to route your trip through Madison instead of Milwaukee if you wanted a good selection of micro. Practically every decent pub there is a microbrewery in itself, not to mention the multitude of micro brewers in the area.

I was always partial to the Great Dane on the Capital Square, but I played softball for them and as a result drank their stuff at least once a week. I also tended toward the Angelic Brewery up in the same area.

I unfortunately don't have much experience with the straight-up breweries in that area, as I like to eat when I drink and stayed with the house beer when I did.

Near Madison is the New Glarus brewery. Otherwise there are a few in Milwaukee. I know of the Milwaukee Ale House, the Water Street Brewery, and I believe there are a few more.

Skin is absolutely right on Great Dane. One of my favorite restaurants and the one beer I had there I recall it being quite tasty. There gorgonzola and bacon burger is to die for!

Don't know about the Ale House but Water Street Brewery is trash. Both the food and the beer. I think they use a combination of river water and bum piss to brew.

Capital Brewery in Middleton. Doubtful that you would be able to pick up a keg there, but the Wisconsin Amber is one of my favorites.

Just about everything they do is German style.

Got a lil dilemma here. Is there a way for me to get to the Milwaukee airport by 6am on Monday after the game? How much woudl a cab cost from GB to there?

MJZiggy

A cab would cost a fortune and it's a couple hours drive to get down there. You'd have to leave by 3:30 or 4 latest.

Yeah, basically, after bar close you'd have to be on your way to the airport. There is also a major construction project in the Marquette interchange in Milwaukee. That is the last place you want to be on a morning commute through downtown Milwaukee.

Renting a car would be your best bet if you have to be there by 6am. Like Zig said, a cab would cost a fortune.

This interchange project isn't just some 1 or 2 lane closure, it's what a 5-6 year project and is one of the worst cluster F's that I have ever seen.

But Nutz is right, if you are at the airport by 6 am, you'll be ok as the farmers have already passed through on their tractors 2 hours prior.

It's really not that bad. I drive through it twice daily. The only time I ever notice it is when I am leaving at 8:30 for my 9:30 class (I live 22 minutes away from UWM without traffic), and then again in the afternoon from 4-6 (especially if there is a brewers game).

If there is a brewers game in the afternoon you can reasonably expect to spend an hour in traffic. In the morning it takes about 35-40 minutes to get school when there is traffic.

Anywho, Mad if you want a ride home I figure we can hang out at a bar and watch sports center for awhile until like 1, and then head home. I would drop you off by like 3:30 'cause I would need to get some sleep before school the next day at 9.

I don't think they close the airport. They close the shops, but you can stay there all night if you want. They have really shitty benches though if you're trying to get some sleep and I don't think they sell nudie mags in the bookshops.

According to Google Maps I am 4.5 miles from it. I've actually never heard of that before. I'm more in the Hales Corners region than the Greenfield region. Thought maybe you guys would want a "must-see" list of Packer related things around town besides the stadium!

- Old City Stadium, where it all began. GB East High School.

- Glory Years Bar. The old offices of Lombardi. In fact, you can go in there and see his actual desk and office. They built the bar around it. Lots of cool memorabillia in there, too. Located on Washington St, downtown.

- Each sports bar has their own unique collection of memorabillia. Two that you can't miss are Gippers (University Ave) and Champions Sports Bar (behind the Hilton Hotel/Favre's Steakhouse).

- Brett Favre's Steakhouse. The food is ok, but overpriced and their service is slow. but GO THERE just to see Brett's own collection of trophies, pictures, etc. You can sit in the bar, have a drink and check it all out. They also have a decent gift shop in there, too.

- Fuzzy's. Located on W Mason St. Fuzzy Thurston owns the place and it's not uncommon at all to see him there. The entire back wall is nothing but 4 x 6 photo's of players, old and new.

(PIP, in exchange for camera lessons, I'll show you where Favre lives) lol

You guys are coming at a great time. The leaves are really starting to turn here and I think by next weekend, we will be near peak for the fall foliage.

No, it's his tailgate party, but it's not at his bar.

See, Fuzzy owns a stake in Packer Fan Tours aka - he is a ticket broker. It's called Fuzzy Thurston's tailgate party, but it's put on by Packer Fan Tours, which sets up the gig in Bart Starr Plaza (in front of the Resch Center)

OK, so is anyone able to hook me up with a ride to Milw so that I can be there by 6am? I can rent a car but I am worried about getting lost and missing the flight. As it is i will be dragging ass after a late game a hopefully a victory party.

I am hoping that some of the PR locals, like GBRulz, can give us a weather report. For those of use who are traveling across the country, I want to know how to dress. Do I pack clothes for warm, cool, and/or wet weather?

Out here in Oregon, the cool wet weather usually does not begin until mid-October. We had over an inch of rain yesterday and it is supposed to rain all next week. Weather forecasters claim our rainy season has arrived early.

Some travelers in our Cascade Mountains were caught in passes down to 4,500' yesterday by wet, heavy snow.

Please tell us how to dress. By the way, I will not show up with a big, green "O" painted on my bare chest. I wouln't want GBRulz to lose her lunch! :)

OK.... a quick rehash on the situation......

The tailgate party on Sunday....$25 ...doors open at 3:15. It's the Fuzzy Thurston Tailgate party in the Bart Star Plaza, which is between the Resch Center and the Don Hudson Center on Armed Forces Drive. Just head towards the main doors to the Resch and you'll see it.

Please see the first page of the thread for website info, etc about the tailgate party. Just an FYI, I spoke to Bill from Titletown Tours (they do the party) and there are absolutely no carry in's to the tailgate party. no drinks, no chairs, no tables, no coolers...nada.

I can't say where exactly we will meet once inside the tailgate area.... sooo, if you haven't given me your cell number, please PM that to me. I will recognize some of you, but most are new faces, sooooo we can call/text each other on where we are. I really don't know how else to do it and am open to any ideas that guys might have.....

Just thought I'd bump this since we're getting into the homestretch.

If some of you want to meet at a bar and watch the noon game, that's cool. Anywhere you go on game day, prices around the stadium will be about the same. They don't discount drinks on game day, if that's what you're looking for. They raise them! Expect to pay $3 for a bottle of beer, $4-5 for mixers. $5 shots.

GBM, where is a good place to park for this whole shindig? I am coming up late Saturday night and would like to avoid paying for parking. I may bring a bike and stash it in MTPs room and ride from a few miles away.

How about you park in the hotel parking lot that you will be staying at?

Do they let more than one car per room on a game weekend? I was going to crash with Mad and he'll have his car

Bia you aren't renting a ride??Partial, now I know you are acting dumb. How the hell will I have a car if I told you Nutty is picking me up and you have already agreed to give me a ride back to Milw? I think I will be driving on that ride.

At the time I had forgotten you were getting a ride from Nutz. Now I understand and I will have a parking spot. Beautiful!

PM Zig if you are interested in going on the HOF/stadium tour. I'm guessing you guys will be meeting up around 11

5:00 PM - Dinner at Favre's

7:00 PM - Anduzzi's Sports Bar on Holmgren Way. Time to drink !

SUNDAY

Some of you wanted to get together for the early game, that's cool. Someone can go ahead and post info for that.

4:00 pm - Meet at the tailgate party. Door open for that at 4:15. So, let's meet outside the gates.

Whoever shows up, shows up. But that's the scoop for now.

Mad was very insistent in wanting me to go, and I appreciate his courtship.

I have a left leg that doesn't bend much as a result of my highly undistinguished highschool football career. Plus, lets just say I fill-out a seat nicely. So I sez to Mad, "Mad, I need an aisle seat, or I'll pay for two seats." He scratches his stubbly chin. At the moment, the dirty little rat has three extra tickets, so I suggest, "Howzabout I bring along a friend and take all three tickets. I have this freind who leads a lesbian packer football fan club." (hah, hah, true!) He sez that will be fine, only problem might be I'll feel left out cause I'm the only one who doesn't like pussy. Deeply insulting.

Next thing I hear MAd wants me ALL to himself. Tears. Anger. Accusations of betrayal. Bad language. (Probably he just found somebody else for two of the spare tickets. At any rate, he's not buying my explanation, as you see above. )

I have sat in the 400 section of the outdoor club seats, but not the inside section. Not sure which you are referring to. Other than having an actual chair vs a bleacher seat, there wasn't much of a difference. I got the tickets free, but to pay that much extra for club seats is not worth it IMO.

You are exactly right, that's how it's always been. But this past summer, the police where saying how they were going to crack down on it and they even went as far as putting up signs indicating that per city ordinance #blablahblah, consuming alcohol outdoors is in violation of the law. It's a 1.83 GHZ Core duo processor
1 gig of Ram
60 GB HD
15" White

It has a couple small scratches on the top, but other than that, it's like brand new. It has a USB mouse, a number pad and a soft case. It comes iwth every cord, disc and manual that came with it new.

It's a great, easy to use laptop. I recommend mac to anyone who wants an easy to use, reliable computer.

Lambeau Field G-Force 'Fan Flurry' Set To Welcome Bears Sunday Night

from packers.com

posted 10/03/2007

T-SHIRTS AND POMPOMS TO BE DISTRIBUTED

Lambeau Field's G-Force will add a new element Sunday night as the division rival Bears will be welcomed to an energized crowd donning white G-Force T-shirts distributed at the gates.

G-Force is a new program that recognizes Packers fans for their longtime support and loyalty, and emphasizes the electric gameday atmosphere the fans provide for the players.

More than 72,000 shirts, each with the G-Force logo on the front and the phrase "fan flurry" on the back, will be distributed to each person coming through the gates. White pompoms will be distributed as well. The combined effect of the two items should ensure the crowd will be in a white frenzy.

Fans also are encouraged to wear their own white apparel as well to enhance the effect.

"Our fans are simply the best, so the G-Force 'Fan Flurry' T-shirts and pompoms should be an opportunity for everyone to have some fun with it and really energize Lambeau Field," said Craig Benzel, Packers director of marketing. "There is no doubt the Lambeau Field crowd makes a difference during games, and you can count on them to continue that effort against the Chicago Bears on Sunday night."

Other in-stadium components feature the unveiling of the G-Force banner prior to the player introductions. The team also will show its appreciation for G-Force all season long with gameday giveaways.

This G-Force thing sounds like bad marketing. The only good thing is that they aren't trying to make it happen in early November. I doubt many would substitute the orange for the white.

The Bears are wearing white. Is all the white in the stadium going to make it harder for Favre to see the Bears players?

Agree with Harv on the G-Force thing. Sounds like a typical publicity gimmick that a struggling franchise would try. Let the fans be themselves.

Will a 40 call attention to myself?

This is Green Bay, and a 40 is more of a big city thing. You might be mistaken for a Bears fan.

Somehow I doubt the 40 will be necessary to call attention to yourself. :whist:

However, if you bring it, you're sharing. :alc:

Also, U OF WI BAND PLAYING AT HALFTIME

And when it rains, it's one huge wet t-shirt contest ...

I think all the 'rats should go old skool and wear hunter orange. It would totally stand out in that sea of white.

Ok guys, I don't feel like going through 25 pages, but I'm going to be going to the game with BF4MVP, and we want to stop by this tailgate party or whatever. So where's it gonna be and how do we stop by?

I am so pissed..

2 weeks ago I had bought 4 good seats on eBay, no one from here wanted any so I sold 2 on eBay. The guy (he lives in ND) that won them paid me and his payment cleared on Wed. I sent them from the local Mailbox etc place overnight delivery ($30) so they would get there Thursday because he is leaving his town on Friday(today). When I woke up yesterday I check my email and the guy still had not received them. So I call the mail box place and find out they where shipped, as regular ground mail!!! So they are scheduled to get there on Tuesday!!! Can you believe this shit? The owner of the mailbox place didnt even try to argue with me. He just wanted to know if I can get replacements or he will pay (luckily I insured them for the full amount). So I email the guy I got them from and he says he wont get involved in 3rd party transactions. So I call the guy who bought them from me and told him I’m sorry and that I will give him my two tickets (right next to his). He was real cool and said that will be fine. He will get what he paid for because I dont play like that.

So now I am scheduled to fly tomorrow morning at 6am. I have no tickets but I have $$$ to get some more. Im pretty fucking pissed. Honestly, if I could cancel the flight I probably would but I cant so I am gonna have to go and see what I can come up with.

So thanks to you and Mailboxes etc, the G-Force will be missing two spots in it's Fan Flurry. There goes the whole damned effect.

Here's to hoping you can find some replacements close to face value before kick-off. Otherwise you'll have to hang out with the rest of us cheap bastards.

not exactly true, Amigo. I would have taken all three tickets. well, maybe you already sold two by then, hard to tell with you, the man of mystery.

Poor Partial! He loses his seat AND his starfish all in same weekend.

I think this is overly generous of you. You really just owe him a refund, it was an honest mistake. But OK.

I THINK YOU CAN STILL USE THOSE TICKETS THAT ARE LOST IN THE MAIL.
GET ON THE PHONE TO THE TICKET OFFICE. Find director of operations for Packers, or whatever the title is. Call person in charge of stadium security. There is no reason why they can't honor the tickets, there is ZERO opportunity for fraud.

GET ON THE PHONE! Try and sound like a nice white person. Mad, I am pretty sure they will help you out, they have dealt with lost tickets before.

The only tickets that can be replaced are by season ticket holders. I did some checking for him this morning about that.

I would have sold him my ticket but he's being a picky bitch about where he sits

Mad you can get a suit for 17,500 bucks if you go to Ticket King.

Tickets are running a bit high at this point, but come kickoff scalpers are going to want to just get rid of their seats because it is a night game. You might have to roll a little extra but you will be there for two days start working the crowds.

There were some good seats left when I made the round of sites yesterday.

I may have to go to the North Slope for BP tonight and have to cancel my flight for Sat morning. I haven't even started checking to see what kind of mileage seats are left on Alaska to Chicago for Sunday. How long a drive is it from Chicago to GB? If I remember it was 3-4 hours?

It depends if you are talking about driving from Midway or O'Hare. 3 hrs from O'Hare, at least 4 from Midway.

Come up on I-43, you'll make good time.

ok guys, one last rehash before the weekend....

SATURDAY: Tourists and company doing their stadium and HOF stuff in the morning. I think Zig already was in contact with those who wanted to do that though.

5 PM: Dinner at Brett Favre's Steakhouse

7 PM: Meeting at Anduzzi's (Holmgren Way)

SUNDAY: No plans are set in stone. Kinda playing it by ear and seeing how hungover people are from the night before! I probably will prefer my couch with the early games vs going to a bar at noon! Besides, I can't leave much before 4 anyhow because of the dogs. They can't be alone for 12 freaken hours without going outside! But I know some have expressed interest in going to a bar, but most are just playing it by ear.

Otherwise, meeting at 4 pm near the entrance of the Fuzzy Thurston Tailgate party. All the info about this is posted in the first post of this thread.

I was going to suggest calling. Talked to my old man today. He used to work UPS loss prevention so he dealt with you whiners all the time. He said people call the stadium security office all the time about tickets misdirected in the mail. As long as you have documentation of what happened to those tickets, they take care of you. Apparently even if you're mexican.

Good to hear you won't be a cranky bitch. When are you going to give me or nutz your flight number so we can pick your ass up? What are you going to be wearing when you get off the plane? I don't think they allow sombreros due to security risks. How about one of those blankets you cut the head hole out of?

I called Bill @ Fuzzy's, saying we need 3 more tickets and I was just going to pay for them. Well, he says that in order to get the $5 discount, we have to buy 20 tickets. That is BS, that is NOT what he told me.

Unfortunately, I just cleaned out my emails this morning so I no longer have the original email from him saying he would discount at 10. That effin pisses me off.

I know what he told me and he claims that he doesn't have the email anymore on his end telling me this. Of course

It's not the $5 that I'm bitching about, it's the principal. I called him just now and left him a VM. I can be a real bitch when it comes to customer service related issues like this. This isn't done yet
