The Seahawks weren't exactly poised to up much of a fight, as cautious coach Mike Holmgren sat quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and both of his starting offensive tackles.

"It shouldn't matter," Holmgren said. "Those are three very good players, but it shouldn't make that kind of a difference. We got injured last year and guys had to come in and play. I just didn't think we played very well. We didn't execute at all."

---------------------

At least the Seahawks didn't come away from the game with any major injuries.

"Why would we?" Holmgren said. "We didn't hit anybody."

(^ funny)

That was one ornery looking walrus last night. I wonder what he would have done if Al Harris returned an INT for a TD.

Everybody is getting amped over the Packers peformance, but Seattle didn't even show up to play.

You've got to take it with a grain of salt.

True, but Green Bay did show up and that is very refreshing for a change.

maybe you should have heard cornerback marcus trufant's sideline interview during the game where he commented that even though its preseason taking a buttwhipping like that one aint easy to laugh off.

if the game is so meaningless, why would him and holmgren be bothered by the results?

It is pretty much meaningless. What pisses them off is the lack of heart from their own team. We have that because of youth, nothing more nothing less.
