Hopefully, we get some good news about Driver. Might be too early, though.

I'm sure he will say they are still running tests and that he has to wait before he can comment on DD's condition.

My speculation is that the PC will be about the cuts? I mean I know they have been announced, but maybe he wants to put together a speech to say how talented these guys are, how it was a tough decision, blah blah blah.

BallHawk

Same stuff. Still doing tests, but they think he'll be fine.

Ted says they think he'll be good to go for the opener against the Eagles.

Ted Thompson just had to ask who we were playing on opening day. :?:

McCArthy's getting fired. I just have a feeling.

Fritz

Oh Blue Dog, is "Lache" french for milk?

Ted should've been a politician. He can talk for a half hour and not say a thing. And that's not necessarily a criticism.

BallHawk

Ted said that Paul Thompson has an important week up in front of him.

Didn't rule out keeping him, but didn't rule out cutting him either.

BallHawk

Ted says that they felt PJ Pope was too far away in coming back from his injury to be able to help the team.

BallHawk
08-24-2007, 04:40 PM
Ted says that the Packers came close to acquiring Larry Johnson, but the Chiefs wanted a 1st, a 3rd, and a 7th; however, they were only willing to give a 1st and a 3rd.

He won't even rule out the possibility of keeping 2 kickers on the roster! uggg, please no

Fritz, I have zero idea what Lâche means, it is something from the imagination of the forum administrator. I never cared enough to investigate, but I will now......

from french dictionary: 1 lâche (Adjective) lacks discipline; cowardly person

from urban dictionary: A suburb .... primarily consisting of local authority housing, The Lâche is home to a blend of cock gobblers, smack rats, crack heads and benefit cheats.

I'm not liking the possibilities so far.

Ted Thompson, arch nemesis of Wisconsin journalists everywhere.

well, they got no trade value now, but how about midseason when somebody's kicker stinks it up?

What? I guess it really does not matter in regards to what he has to accomplish in his duties but still find it hard to believe.

I think it was Fox Mulder who said something like 'It is easy to pass off a lie as the truth when somebody wants to believe'.

Ted Thompson just had to ask who we were playing on opening day. :?:

You are like the media, and misquoted him here.
:D

Somebody asked him if Driver will be ready by September 9th, and he asked which game that was. He didn't know who we played on that date--not that he didn't know what team we played for the opener.

The dates? Nope. I couldn't tell you a single date--except maybe October 7th game vs. the Bears. (PackerRats game.) Or is that October 9th?

Did Ted say anything at all besides the normal dummy'd down generalizations ?

After wasting my time looking through the last few I've decided I don't like reading about nothing

I thought it was Mary Jane.....

Reminds me of the old Cheech and Chong routine...

cop:
"Well kids, does anyone know what this is"

kid:
"Weed"

kid:
"dope"

kid:
"shit"

cop:
"Umm we have other names for it"
