I was wondering if there were any stations reachable in Minneapolis, in which they play broadcasts of Packer games?
I only ask because on the way in to the Twin Cities campus, we were listening to some hybrid Packer/Viking radio station (apparently) - and I don't remember what the AM number was OR if it broadcasts all the way out onto campus.
I NEED to be able to enjoy the Packer games this year without just watching them on the Gamecasts on NFL.com. Of course, the Vikes game is on the same time as the Philly/Pack game, so I'm screwed.
Those Minny guys might not even be able to get THEIR OWN game broadcast! ;)

I'm sure someone will get you the name of the station but there is some Wisconsin station that bleeds over into the Twin Cities....but the signal is really weak.

It's tough to get in, I'm on the western side of the Twin Cities and I get a lot of interference. I may just go hang out a the Park Tavern or head to Gabe's.

How about directv? Then you can HOST the party place for the cities. Can't believe that you guys can't get a few hundred pooled together and get Sunday Ticket. It would be a party every weekend. Rastak would host, wouldn't you? :P

1550 is the AM counterpart to 106.3. (River Falls WI) Depending on the weather, one usually comes in better than the other. 107.1 or 107.2 also started carrying the packers last fall. That station comes in better all around.
106.3 and 1550 start to fade a bit right at the Mississippi River.

Like the dude says 106.3 and you can get them on the 'mighty' 1220 AM. It depends on where your at. I'm in St. Paul so I'm more east. Plus you can go online and type in a local Green Bay station which broadcasts over the internet and sit here and keep up with the game thread.

Do you happen to know WHICH stations on-line will actually play the games, because I tried a number of them last year and they played pre-game then cut out when the game started (due to broadcasting rules or something) and then came back when the game was over.
Thanks!

unless they're bootlegging, no station has permission to stream the Packer radio call on the internet.
NFL Field Pass, available at NFL.com, will stream it and archives all the games if you want to listen to it later. It's about $20 per year for the whole season. You can also listen to the other team's call of Packer games, or to any other NFL game.

Right, but Harvey mentioned the station I was thinking of. It is a regular station and not something you pick up on the internet . If you can get the signal you can get the game. Don't be in a basement or it ain't happening.

It's about $20 per year for the whole season.
That's $1 per game if you count preseason. Playoffs would lower the price even further.
If they go to the Super Bowl this year, with home field advantage, the price would be around $.85 per game.
$20 is also about the cost of two Viagra pills, and this would have the same effect.

106.3 FM has the best tag line - "All the best fans in Minnesota and Wisconsin listen to WEVR FM, 106.3".
A not so subtle dig on the area non-Packer fans. :D :cow:

NFL Field Pass is how I listen to the games. My lifeline.
Because they are archived, you can listen to them (or any game) you want at anytime.
The CST 4 pm games begin at 6 am here on Monday. But the CST 1 pm games are killers....starting at 3 am here. I'll listen live on occasion, especially if its the Vikes, but it's tough.
