Eli looks pretty sharp but he seems proned for the bad pass. He's sort of like Favre in that way. Every time I watch him, it just seems like he gives up a couple gimme's.

The Giants have a couple good RBs, a pretty good QB, some good WR's and a good TE. I'd say their offense is a threat.

Their defense has looked suspect so far, but I'm not sure our offense will be able to take advantage of it even if it is.

Eli had 2 things so far that Favre hasn't had in awhile..

A receiver running wide open behind the secondary !!

Too bad Toomer didn't get that right foot in!!

I hate the Cowboys

Eli is a starting Qb in this league because of his last name.

Favre over through Jones in a pretty open deep ball. Had he thrown it on or a little short, Jones could have caught it in stride or had a one on one with a DB (which he's pretty good at)

That's not true. He is still a pretty good quarterback. I suspect by the end of next year he is a top 3-4 quarterback in the league. He's one of those guys who will just take some time.

Peyton wasn't a superstar immediately. He was the benefactor of a strong defense in his second year and Edge being able to contribute as a rookie. They went 13-3. I don't think they made the playoffs the next two years.

Eli has all the physical tools and the work ethic that you desire from a quarterback. He'll be a great player some day.

You're right... and Favre did overthrow, but Manning had 2 receivers behind the secondary in his first 2 series.

I'll give him this, Partial... Eli is the reason that the Bolts are a great team.

Do both of these teams have amazing offenses, suspect defenses, or both?

Maybe this means we might be able to score some offensive touchdowns next week. That would be pretty neat.

That must be one hell of a bruise on Eli's shoulder to keep him out of the game, this game is still winnable for the Giants if the offense can move the ball.

But if Jackson and Manning are both seriously injured for the Giants, there goes their season.

I hate to win cheap like that but I'll take it with SD coming around the corner. This gives our offense another freebe week adn it looks like they need it.

The Giants have 2 other good runners accordign to the Giants forums I visited. I don't htink they have another decent QB who's on the same page with the offense though :)

Pro Football Talk reports... It seemed odd Giants safety Gibril Wilson took such a late shot at Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens after T.O. scored a fourth-quarter touchdown in Sunday night's 45-35 Dallas victory. Video of the play in question appears at 3:25 of the highlight package on NFL.com. We assumed that Wilson was merely acting out his frustration regarding the inability of the Giants defense to stop the Dallas passing game. However, the replay shown on NBC last night from an end-zone camera shows that Owens subtly dropped his right hand and showed his middle finger to Wilson as Owens was moving toward the end zone. .,. It doesn't excuse Wilson for hitting Owens so far out of bounds, but the league office could take a look at the tape and impose a fine on T.O., regardless of the fact that none of the officials saw him make the gesture. -- Pro Football Talk
