Though not on this list, I'm going to go out on a limb and say Charles Woodson, just to throw some instant karma his way.

What about Walker?

Drew Brees? He played all 16 games, threw for 3600 yards with 24 TDs-15 ints last year.

Good poll - I like it.

IF Culpepper comes back and starts effectively, it'll be him. Everything I've heard says the knee was demolished.

I can't see it being Kellen 'I think I'm a soldier' Winslow. If he gets healthy, he'll find a way to screw it up again.

Not sure about Brees or Walker. Would either even be considered? I didn't think Bree's should was that bad - just pretty boiler plate Tommy John surgery, was it not?

Not Priest Holmes. Even if healthy, he's still the 2nd best back on the team!

I dunno *shrug*. I can't see any of them, but then I guess that's why they have the award - unlikely comebacks.

But he is coming off a major shoulder injury

Guys don't get the comeback player of the year award for overcoming an offseason injury--one that didn't cause them to miss any games.

But would you consider it for Carson Palmer?

What about Mike Tice? His knee got demo'd pretty bad too, didn't it? What would qualify as a comeback for him?

But would you consider it for Carson Palmer?

No. Yes for injured guys that missed most of the 2005 season--like Javon Walker, Daunte Culpepper, or Ahman Green.

OOh Palmer would have been good.

Different Poll: Brees, Walker, Palmer, Green = Injury comeback of the Year....or, were all these guys coming back from injury??

MJZiggy

Aren't we a bunch of homers!! 69% for Ahman.

Yes. All of them were coming back from injury.

They are coming back from injury, but only two of them missed most of last season. If Palmer and Brees end up missing a considerable portion of this year, they'll be good candidates for comeback player of the year in 2007.
