What the heck?! I'm batching it tonight, so why not have some company from my Packerrat mates?

Who do you like in this game tonight?

I'll take the Eagles 23-21 on winning field goal.

I don't care who wins the game.

However, since Strength of Victory is a playoff tiebreaker ahead of Strength of Schedule, I think an Eagle win helps the Packers more.

I'd like the Eagles to get beat (and it would make all 3 Redskins fans around here happy), but I have a feeling Washington's not gonna keep Westbrook contained...

huh, never heard of that one, but looked it up...

Cooley needs to haul that in.

Sounds good to me. I need Philly to win by less then 7 points and the total points to be over 36. ....that's all. :P

You gotta love knowing the Packers were the reason for that.

Go 'Skins!

If you like defensive struggles, this one's for you!! Nice little throwdown at the two minute warning by Tony. I think he's funny. Kind of like the Dennis Miller experiment, but they stuck with him. Love PTI. You knew he had to make a Pats scandal comment at some point during the broadcast!

The boo-birds are out tonight at the Linc. Reminds me of some of the Packers games in the 70's...oy!

Do you think Donovan is having the same problem that Culpepper had last year where he just wasn't right after coming back from knee surgery?

Do you think Joe Gibbs wishes he were not there anymore, except for the money, which he really doesn't need?

Carolina_Packer
09-17-2007, 09:08 PM
Holy Sh#*, what a throw after that goal-line ugliness where you thought they were going to have to settle for a field goal after all the ineptness. Nice throw kid.

The Philly D touchdown cherry has been popped for 2007.

I can't believe the Redskins defense is shutting down the Eagles too

Wait! They serve beer at Lambeau?!

How about Bratwurst-flavored beer? Saves a step.

I like Chuck Barkley because of his candor. He doesn't really pull punches, which makes him interesting. He certainly would understand what McNabb is going through.

Carolina_Packer

God, that's funny...Chuck explaining how he should have tried to get out of Philly two years before he did. He said he was pulling for management to get Shaq but instead he got Charles Shackleford! Classic!

No kidding. Although I do think Chuck could replace Kornheiser and do just as good, if not a better job. He doesn't need a ton of football knowledge to make up for Kornhole and he certainly is more entertaining.

Would have loved to have a shot at LaRon Landry, except I'm not sure how he does in coverage.

Sadly, I need another TD by Cooley to win this week in my money league.

How did you do this week, Bretsky? I scored 140.

Carolina_Packer
09-17-2007, 10:21 PM
Yeah, baby! Cubs hold serve on their 1 game lead and score 3 off of David Weathers in the 9th! I know there are Brewers fans here. Man it's too close for comfort.

I grew up a Brewers fan in the AL and a Cubs fan in the NL. I graduated High School in Iowa, but was born in WI, so the Cubs and Brewers were in my family. When the unthinkable happened, I had to stick with the Cubs. I used to love going to County Stadium and seeing Yount, Molitor, and Co?

These are not my old Brewers, and so I stuck with the Cubs, and still love going to Wrigley, whenever I can get a loan to buy scalped tickets.

Gallardo with a dominating performance tonight. Sheets tomorrow, right? Cubs have to go against Harang tomorrow.

Same here. When push came to shove, I chose the Crew though. I'm glad I did. Should be interesting, but unless you are delusional or ignorant like a lot of Cubs fans (sorry, I came to the realization recently), the Crew is somebody that's going to be very good over the next several years.

Nice! I had Cadillac sitting on the bench when I thought he wouldn't play, and I started Patrick Crayton (0 friggin' catches). We could have had a real doneybrook (sp?) this week.

Why did I think that was coming? I was conflicted when the NL sucked up the Brewers, and to the Central no less. I figured there's no way in hell that my two teams ever meet up in the World Series, so I've got a team in each league to pull for. The gods laughed.

Hey, I actually got to see Nolan Ryan's 300th victory at County back in 1990. The fans booed the Rangers manager when they pulled Ryan in the 7th. The other thing I remember is the very loud PA system and the public service announcement about the dreaded "Two Fisted Slopper" My brother and I still joke about "that guy". I'm sure there were never any two fisted sloppers at a Brewers game, right?

I think it's important that we beat the Redskins now, since having the tiebreakers over the Eagles and the Giants might not give us much in the wildcard race, not that the division crown is out of reach by any means.

Yes, we could have

I picked up that dam Crayton; any idea what happened ? Sounded like Romo is just going to really spread it around now.

Any view on Kevin Curtis ? In NY league he's a backup. Seems like Shawn McDonald or Derrick Mason are better bets.

Post game interview with McNobb. When asked anything about the team struggling at 0-2, his answers were all "we", "we', "we". Nothing about how his throws were off by a country mile. Nothing about how he was obviously favoring his leg. Nothing about how he is slow as all hell. It was all about how "we" need to improve, and "we" need to learn from "our" mistakes.

Pathetic!

MJZiggy
09-18-2007, 07:57 AM
Depends, PB. Does he talk "we" during the winning times too? If it's consistently "we" that's one thing but sharing the blame and taking the credit is no good.
