3-0 is in the books - let's take it from here. No need to feel too comfy though as it'll come back and bite ya. Really, Packers have few easy games this season and the Vikings are up next at the Metro - tough, tough place to play. AP & their defense are good enough to beat anybody on a good day.

I say Packers 16 Vikings 10.

Picking divisional games is always tough. And you know the Pack will lose some game they shouldn't. But it is hard for me to say this will be the one. I'm combining some of what others have said here. Pack 30-10 with Vikes leading at some point. And I still wonder how many records will be broken in this game.

Packers 24

Vikings 17

I predict the Packers to win with caution. Historically, the Packers have not played well at the "Urine-Bag Dome" in Minneapolis. In addition, the Viqueens may already feel their back is to the wall at 1-2.

For me losing to the Viqueens is more painful than losing to the Bears.

I think we will have more or less the same gameplan this week and AP will go 20 for 75 yds and we'll have more success getting after the qb and causing more havoc in general. Predicting 3 queen turnovers to just one Favre ill-advised pass. He'll still have a great game and toss 3 tds for 300 plus and make me forget how horrible my fantasy team is (Jacobs, deuce, a Johnson... Gonna get destroyed this week)

- AP breaks one for a long score. Vikes offense manages 3 points the rest of the game.

- Vikes D comes out in a nickle/dime package as we have shown we cannot run the ball yet...but given the effort to stop the pass, we finally get some decent yards rushing and keep their D off balance.

I just listened to the Brett Favre and MM press conferences. Both of them had their eye on the prize this week. McCarthy said they by no means had this thing figured out. Brett said that once they start taking the slant away they are going to be in trouble unless they get more pieces added to the offense.

Both seemed confident and focused, yet humble. I worry that after a bunch of W's a team can get content and happy. Brett seems proned to that over his career. It's nice to see that not happening so far.

I just got a very good feeling about this game. I'm going to say 27-13 Packers.

This has upset written all over it. I hate when we play in Minny. So many bad memories of our better teams losing games to them. But, you know what, there is no way in hell that shit team is going to stay with us for 60 minutes. We won't run much up the middle, but Jackson will break a few outside and end up with close to 100 yards. Jennings will put on a show, and Brett will throw two touchdowns. Sharper will intercept Favre, too little, too late.

I do not see a let down with the way Favre and MM are focusing. I see an improving offense, a defense that has done a really good job on some of the NFL's best offense and a good ST's unit. The Vikings have a decent defense, a bad offense and I don't know about their ST's. The only way we lose this game is by shooting ourselves in the foot and this team has done a great job of not doing that for the first 3 games.

EDIT: I see Jennings, Jones and Jackson (out of the backfield) having HUGE games with the focus on Driver.

17-16 vikes. Mental mistakes catch up to this team against an inferior team.

During the 1996 season Packers were 3-0 going to the Metro; Packers lost 30-21 and were outplayed. Well, Vikings team were much stronger then and with their week 4 win, they were 4-0.

The point is simply though that it's going to be a tough, tough game and no walkover - by far!

I still say Packers 16 Vikings 10; we gotta win 'cos it's live on Danish national TV with one of the hosts being a jerk Vikes fan. :x

Packers 23-10 over the Vikings. In their 2006, 31-7 win over the Vikings, the Patriots (and their A/V man) realized that the Vikings were stout against the run, so they just game-planned against their weaknesses in coverage to exploit matchups, which they do well. It was brilliant. Hopefully we come up with the same kind of game plan.

We are taking care of the ball pretty well, and hopefully that continues. I think we can keep the momentum going, but we need to just do our thing.

Helping hands

Former Packers safety Darren Sharper said the Vikings are well aware that quarterback Brett Favre has a good chance of breaking an NFL record inside the Metrodome.

"Yeah, he does," Sharper said. "He's three away."

Sharper, of course, was referring to the all-time NFL interception record Favre is closing in on, not the all-time touchdown mark. Sharper picked off Favre last year for the first time in a 9-7 loss at Lambeau Field and would like nothing more than to add to Favre's career total of 275.

"The interception record? That's the only record I'm thinking about," Sharper said.

Run this way

In a conference call with local media, Vikings nose tackle Pat Williams wasn't shy about stating how unlikely it was he would lose out in his battle with center Scott Wells.

"Nah, I'm not worried about it," said the 6-3, 317-pound Williams, the anchor for the Vikings' No. 3-rated run defense. "He can't stop me. My main concern is on the field, I don't care who I play against. I don't think no center can stop me. We're both going to show up and find out on Sunday."

Williams dominated the Packers' offensive line last year and was a primary reason the Packers gained only 93 rushing yards in two games against the Vikings. He said the line's attempts to cut block him were fruitless.

"They really couldn't do it," Williams said. "We were getting off the ball and getting upfield (before the cut blocks were made)."

I agree that it's shitty the way the Vikings are giving no props to Brett. They just keep saying that they want to get the INT record. Most teams would heap praise on a QB who is breaking a record like this. Imagine if LT was approaching a major record. The Packers would have talked about what an accomplishment it is and what a challenge he is. The Vikings chose to just ignore Bretts accomplishments and exaggerate the INT thing.

The Vikings lack class IMO.

I am really disappointed in the Vikings for being such poor sports. They havn't given Brett one bone heading into the week that he likely breaks one of the NFL's top 2 or 3 records. Unbelievable that they aren't giving him credit. Any team in the league would do that. I think it reflects their coach.

Maybe the Packers fumble the opening kickoff and the Vikes punch it in from the 5 with All Day Peterson. The kickoff is returned to the 17. Favre's first pass is picked off by Sharper and taken to the house with the score now 14-0 with 13:00 minutes left in the first quarter. Doesn't suck to be a Viking fan in this scenario...(which of course I just dreamed up, like yours).

The Vikings have done a decent job over the last 2 seasons of being ahead after the first quarter. Their problem then starts after teams make adjustments while the Vikes either don't or make poor ones. I wouldn't be surprised if they get a lead after the first, I'm just confident that when adjustments are made, MM will run circles around Childress.
