View Full Version : Are You Satisfied With the TEs?

So far they've accounted for 27 catches, 244 yards, and 3 TDs.

Donald Lee seems to have emerged into the formidable TE that some thought he could become.

Bubba is being used more in the Red Zone and already has 2 TDs.

They're definitely better than last year and at this point it looks like TT not getting a TE hasn't stopped this team from putting points on the board.

They are no longer the weakest link on the team, so I'm certainly happy about that!

Lee has stepped up...

Franks learned how to catch during the offseason, and looks a lot better than last year...

I'm happy with their production...

I think if I'm grading the TEs as I expected the Packers to be this year, they receive an honors grade somewhere in the B, B+ range.

If I'm grading the TEs as a Tight End corps for one of the better teams in the conference, they end up in the C, C+ range, a passing grade but not one you'd brag about.

As it stands, we're not going to lose games due to inadequate TE production, but we're not going to win games because our TEs are out of this world.

after years of being forgotten/forsaken it's nice to see them involved in the offense again.

I think having a stud out there at TE would be great for the offense. That being said the guys are performing well. Bubba may drop some easy ones but damn he lays himself out there 100%.

I disagree on this. Favre has confidence in the TEs and they are stepping up big time this season. If it weren't for this, our offense would not be nearly as good as it is. They make a huge difference and we are winning games because of our TEs.

TT took a lot of heat for not signing free agents at the TE and WR positions. So far his confidence in the guys he had has been rewarded. Not so with the running game, so it will be interesting to see if he is eventually proven right there.

I agree with the above post. Lee is actually becoming more of a downfield threat.

Franks is lacking the speed to get open downfield BUT he is making the catches he needs to this year. Hopefully, these guys can stay healthy.

Nah, I wish we had Eric Johnson. We could really use his 6 yards/reception to stretch the field.

I'm still slightly concerned that there are only two of them... but with their production, yeah, I'm more than satisfied. No injuries - we're ok. Injuries - Who the F knows.

Ryan Krause, my man. He's the next diamond in the rough--like Donald Lee.

I am happy to see Bubba play more inspired and confident at TE. He plays hard.

He and TE Donald Lee are more of the offense so far and I am pleased.

GO PACK GO !

Bubba layed out for that ball in that game. Hot stuff. I thought he had it. That play should have been reviewed.
