If you have checked NFL or ESPN websites they are going straight to the net points which is not the correct order of the tiebreakers. For those who want accurate information I submit this post.

NFC

First Round bye
1) Packers
2) Cowboys
Home first round
3) Seahawks
4) Buccaneers

Wild Cards
5) Lions
6) Redskins

Order of those on the outside, 49'ers, Panthers, Cardinals, Giants.

AFC

First Round bye
1) Patriots
2) Colts
Home first round
3) Steelers
4) Broncos
Wild Cards
5) Titans
6) Jaguars

Order of those on the outside, Chiefs, Browns, Raiders, Texans, Ravens

If you have a sense of humor read on.

In the race for the first overall draft pick, the draft order is:

Miami
Rams
Saints
Jets
Falcons

I was wondering who led between them and the cowboys. Both have played 3 NFC and 1 AFC team. This must based on who the teams they beat won against?

Both are 3-0 in the conference.

The next tie breaker is common games once they have 4 in common. They both beat NY Giants.

The next tiebreaker is Strength of Victory. The Packers beat the 1-3 Eagles, 2-2 Giants, the 1-3 Chargers, and the 1-3 Vikings. (.3125)
The Cowboys beat the 2-2 Giants, the 1-3 Bears, the 0-4 Dolphins, and the 0-4 Rams. (.1875)

Since the Packers have beaten tougher competition they are ahead of the Cowboys.

Damn, I didn't know Dallas' schedule had been that easy..I've suddenly become a little less impressed with them.

If the playoffs where this week it would be one helluva short season.
