If there are unpaid real estate taxes doesn't the house go into foreclosure? Can someone post a picture of the house?

The norm in the state of Wisconsin that foreclosure on taxes requires 3 year delinquent taxes.

Its interesting that he got upset about items that were his own obligations. Odds are it would have been a short sale, so he needs to raise the sale price to break even.

Ironically his real estate agents name is Debbie Rosenhaus.

Judge rules in favor of couple buying Javon Walker's house

Peter and Christina Vanden Heuvel have their house.

The Vanden Heuvels sued former Green Bay Packers Javon Walker, alleging the wide receiver reneged on an accepted offer to buy his Gobi Trail home.

The Vanden Heuvels offered to buy Walker's home for $220,000 in early August. On Aug. 16, Walker made a counter-offer that raised the purchase price to $225,000, adding a caveat that the Vanden Heuvels reduce the price on their house on Rolling Green Drive to ensure it would be sold.

The Vanden Heuvels signed the counter-offer.

Three days before they were to close on their Rolling Green Drive home, Walker asked for more money for his home and threatened to call off the deal if the Vanden Heuvels didn't come up with the cash.

At a brief hearing Friday, Brown County Circuit Court Judge Donald Zuidmulder said Walker has acquiesced on his demand, prompting a ruling in favor of the Vanden Heuvels. Zuidmulder ordered that they be allowed to occupy the house as soon as the closing documents were completed.

The couple and their two children are living with family while the suit was pending.

Walker, who has a permanent address near Houston, was not at Friday's hearing. He was traded to the Denver Broncos last year after an injury sidelined him for most of the Packers 2006 season.

The lesson here is that some contracts must actually be honored.

Walker must be the ultimate cheap ass. Why quibble over what to him is a fractional amount of money? Even his initial bump and caveat are lame.

Also a little surprised by the selling price. $225,000 is a fairly modest house by professional athlete standards, even in Green Bay I would assume.

Still, I'm sure there are those who would say that this was one of the top 5 houses in Green Bay, and that these people should have been willing to pay whatever Javon wanted for it.

You are right, $225k is not that far above the median home value here in GB.

But ya know, he was struggling to provide for his family and make ends meet, trying to live off his measely rookie contract  Hence the decked out black Hummer among other things.....

All that shit over five thousand dollars. Phhhh... That's less than the closing costs.
