As undying football fans and sons of Wisconsin (I know not all posters but those then fall into the honorary ones) I believe it's our God given right to drink beer and eat cheese.

With that being said, I know this in many ways is a repost but was looking to get some fresh threaded discussion on good beers that may be hidden gems as well as suggestions on some local Midwest beers I might have missed.

To simplify things I was thinking of offering a template to fill out to make thins easy (feel free to offer suggestions/changes). Some of the answers may be the same if you're a die-hard one flavor type.

Something like:

Favorite nationwide available beer: Samuel Adams
Favorite Fall beer: Redhook Late Harvest Autumn
Favorite Winter beer: Schell's Snow Storm or old stand by of Guiness
Favorite Spring beer: Full Sail Rip Curl
Favorite Summer beer: Hacker Schorr Weiss
Favorite Local Beer: Summit Extra Pale Ale or Shell's above

I am not a big consumer of alcohol, but i when I do I try to sample different kinds of beer.

I have tried about 6 different Sam Adams, and I do not understand how they stay in buisness. The stuff is all wretched to me. Must just be my taste of what beer is. Maybe its the Ale thing, as most the beer I like are laugers. (lagers? luagers? loogies? )

I also tried that import from South Africa called Red Stripe, you know. "Beer, Hurray Beer!" The stuff is pretty good.

One of our local grocery stores carries a huge variety of different beer that you can pick and choose a 6 pack variety. I have had a lot of really good beer from from there, unfortuantly i dont recall what they were.

Had one that was an apple taste that was really good.

I dont think I have had a Miller HIgh Life since I was 20 and then its because it was the only thing left in the fridge after a party

For some reason here in North West Iowa that is not a popular beer. I knew it was the official Sponsor for Lambeau Field, but I was shocked when we finally made it to Green Bay and how dominant it was.

Budwieser is king here. Not on my favorite list either though. Coors isnt bad.

I am completely not follow the format listed above am I?! :P

I"m a Miller guy, but...my favorite beer is Michelob Golden Draft Lite. Seriously the best beer I've ever had when I drank. When I bartended, I asked my Bud guy why you can't find Micelob Golden Draft anywhere except a few spots here and there and he said Bud is worried it would out seld Bud & Bud Lite because it's a finer made beer than either of them. So Bud only sells Mich. Golden Draft Lite in certain areas of Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. Thankfully the Winona area sold it, cause many a college night out was Mich. Golden. GREAT stuff. ALMOST makes me wanna drink again.

Well, the Silver Bullet isn't one to slow anything down so probably a good move for Miller.

To go in the order of your listings:
Miller Genuine Draft
Hacker Schorr Oktoberfest
Guiness
Spring beer, not sure of
Summer: Molson Canadian
Local: Leinie's Red

I like Ras' mention of Negro Medelo. Had that on a trip this fall, excellent beer.

Ultimate favorite (but haven't found it around lately): Mackeson Triple Stout. It's an English triple stout that is super dark black. Very good for a taste, but not the kind you'd want to be drinking for an entire evening.

Leinie's Original, Honey Weiss and Creamy Dark are all good. Actually, some of the microbrews are better, but I can never remember the names.

Worst Beer? Red White And Blue and Old Milwaukee Light.

Depending on where we turn to get to Rehoboth, we may pass right near there on Hwy. 50. By the way, I don't really drink beer (I know this makes it worse) but can you suggest a good pale ale?

I usually go for the hard ciders and stuff like Mike's unless I'm drinking hard liquor. But for you I will have a beer.

This is not a pale but you should try it for me..

Festina Peche :) Please?

This beer is a Neo-Berliner Weisse brewed with wheat and pilsner malt to 4.5% abv. It was given one of the lowest hop additions for any Dogfish Head beer to date coming in at just 5 IBU's!

After the hop additions, the beer is fermented with fresh peaches.

The beer is tart due to the presence of lactic acid along with a subtle fruit profile from the peaches.

Also try Fluckey's Fest....I know these sound crazy but these guys brew some amazing shit.

Admiral Fluckey's Lager was brewed with 51% Pilsner malt and 49% Chardonnay grapes, then fermented with Champagne yeast. It is low (~15 IBU’s) on the bitterness scale, a bit sweet, about 7-8% abv, with the slight acididity of a champagne.
Admiral Fluckey was the first commander of the USS Dogfish (submarine) and just passed away on July 2, 2007.
