Don't know if anybody cares about this game. I'm sure when the schedule-makers arranged this back in April it looked a lot better.
Anyways, glad to see the refs aren't going crazy on the helmet-to-helmet thing. Harrison of the 49ers hit Hasselbeck, but it looked like he tried to pull up and it wasn't a vicious hit.

need the 49ers to win and have a good season so the patriots dont have a top 10 pick.

Agreed!
Niners are sucking up the place, though. A. Smith looks like he's a rookie again.

Does anyone recall how the Patriots got the pick from San Fran in the first place? I saw a 2008 NFL Mock Draft that had the Patriots drafting 4 and getting Darren McFadden. That would be a horrible development. I agree, go Niners.

So is it basically decided that Smith is going to be a bust?

The Patriots acquired the 49ers 2008 1st round pick and 2007 4th round pick (#127 overall) by trading them their 2007 1st round pick (#28 overall).
The 49ers ended up selecting Joe Staley.
