Now that the National Football League season has entered Week 11, it gets a little easier to compare statistics between players and teams because at this point each team has had its bye week. Let's take a look where the Packers stand as individuals and as a team:

IndividualQuarterback Brett Favre is obviously well counted among the leaders. He tops the NFL in yards (2,757) and passes completed over 40 yards (10), is second in completions (250) and attempts (371) to New Orleans' Drew Brees, tied for third with Dallas' Tony Romo with 127 first downs, tied for fifth in passer rating (96.2) and touchdowns (16), tied for sixth with 29 passes over 20 yards and completion percentage (67.2), and tied for 16th with eight interceptions.

Favre (21) is also second to New England's Tom Brady (22) in passes over 25 yards.

Favre's completion percentage of 70% (84 of 120) on first-and-10 is fourth in the league. He's second on third-and-8 yards or more (43.6%).

Running back Ryan Grant is fifth in the NFC with 5.4 yards per attempt in the first half of games.

Wide receiver Donald Driver is 12th in the NFC with 602 receiving yards. Greg Jennings (517) and James Jones (494) are 19th and 20th.

Driver is ninth in the NFC with 73 passes thrown to him.

Driver is seventh in the NFC with 30 first downs, with 11 coming on third down (tied for fifth in NFC).

Jennings is tied for sixth with six receiving touchdowns.

Driver (231, tied for 10th), Jennings (218, 14th) and tight end Donald Lee (213, 17th) are among the NFC leaders in yards after the catch.

Jennings leads the NFC and is second in the NFL with 19.1 yards per catch. Houston's Andre Davis is first at 19.2. Jones is ninth in the NFC and 19th in the league with 15.4.

No Packers receiver is in the NFC top 20 in drops, so they all have fewer than four.

Of passes thrown to him, Lee has been able to catch 78.6% (33 of 42), which is tied for third in the NFC and tied for eighth in the league.

Linebacker Nick Barnett is tied for ninth in the NFL with 74 total tackles.

Aaron Kampman (tied for second) and Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila (tied for fourth) are among the league leaders with 9.0 and 8.5 sacks, respectively.

Safety Atari Bigby is tied for seventh in the league with three forced fumbles. TeamThe Packers are 30th in the NFL with 13 rushes of more than 10 yards. Minnesota leads (by far) with 50. Carolina with 38 is the closest team to the Vikings.

The Packers are tied for seventh in the NFC with 24 rushes stuffed (less than 2 yards). Their 11.6 rushes per stuff is fifth highest in the NFC.

The Packers' percentage of plays that are runs (35.9%) is 31st in the league. Only Detroit (33.9%) is worse.

The Packers average 3.7 yards per rush on carries 1-10 (22nd in league) and 2.6 on carries 11-20 (29th).

Green Bay leads the league with 2,774 receiving yards and are second with 240 receptions.

The Packers are the league's best - by a wide margin - at yards after the catch (1,488). The Patriots (1,157) are next.

Packers receivers are 19th with 14 drops. The Giants lead with 25.

Green Bay's defense is tied for third in the league with 15.8 points per game and third-down percentage (31%).
Deciphering the digits
Here are a few more interesting statistics:

Favre has been nearly flawless in the second half of the past three games. Actually, he has been in the last two games against Kansas City and Minnesota. Favre's second-half passer ratings have been 142.6 (vs. Denver), 158.3 (vs. Kansas City) and 158.3 (vs. Minnesota). A rating of 158.3 is perfect. In total, he has completed 38 of 44 passes in the second half of the past three games for 587 yards, six touchdowns and no interceptions. That gives him a passer rating of a perfect 158.3.

Cullen Jenkins is tied with Charles Woodson for the team lead with seven passes defensed.

Aaron Kampman has 22 quarterback pressures.

Finally, I realize the Packers are 8-1, but it still amazes me that they have been in the lead an average of 32:30 minutes and trailed 9:16. In total, the Packers have led for 292:29 minutes and trailed 83:24.

It seems like for the last several games, vikings excluded, the packers have come out looking like a superbowl bound team, playing tight defense and moving the ball with ease. Somewhere late in the 2nd quarter they sputter, and allow the other team back in the game. If they can start putting up whole games like they have been doing in the first halves (like we did against the vikings last week), they can run with any of the big boys.
