It's obviously the Redskins. They were here first. And they like booze. Indians that is, not the football team.

OK, I did my patriotic "Packer Duty" and voted for the Packers.

They are currently trailing the Cowboys, so you PackerRats need to get on the keyboard and vote! :)

According to "Wikipeida": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Americas_Team
The Cowboys were coined America's Team by NFL Films VP & editor Bob Ryan in 1979 while making the Cowboys 1978 highlight film. Even though the Steelers beat the Cowboys in the Super Bowl for that season.

Art Rooney, the owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers was quoted as saying they didn't want the title of America's Team and that they are a Pittsburgh team.

Many Fans believe New England is America's team because of their three Super Bowl Victories in four seasons. Other fan bases such as New Orleans (after Katrina) and the Green Bay fans (because of their loyal following) also believe their team is America's team.

How ever, the most interesting and indisputable fact that makes Green Bay America's Team (fan base not withstanding) is:

The Green Bay Packers actually ARE owned by shareholder Americans, in all 50 states.

I voted twice, but the vote counter didn't increment any. Maybe I need to clear my cookies or something.

Apparently, you can vote more than once from the same computer each day. I just voted a 2nd time.Check the count though. It shows you can vote again but the total # doesn't go up.
I'm sure you can use IE for one vote and then firefox for another, but unless you clear you're cookies, you'll only be able to vote once per 24 HRs

Does anyone know what the result of the NFL.com poll was? The last time I checked, Dallas was leading 34 percent to 29 percent for the Pack. Did anyone see the NFL Network special last night that was going to talk about the poll results?

Final Results:

Dallas 33%
Green Bay 30%
Pittsburgh 24%
New England 13%

NFL Channel just had a show making an argument for all 4 teams. Then, they ran the results of this poll and gave Dallas a bunch of props for remaining America's Team.

You know, I don't really care. Dallas might be slightly more popular than Green Bay. My feeling is that it's Dallas, Green Bay, and Pittsburgh. New England is just the flavor of the month (like San Fran was). Dallas might be slightly more popular, but I think they are also more hated than Green Bay and Pittsburgh. I think if there was a poll that asked who do you like more Dallas or Green Bay (or Pittsburgh), Dallas comes out on the short end of the stick. Plus, I think the fact that Dallas was labeled "America's Team" gives them an unfair advantage in this poll.
