I thought this story from the Green Bay Press-Gazette was fun to read, about the days when the Packers and Rams were Western Conference rivals:

My favorite quote:
Los Angeles' supremacy over the Packers reached a peak on Dec. 16, 1956. Quarterback Norm Van Brocklin, running back Tom Wilson and their teammates set records that have endured for more than half a century.
"The Packers were pitifully defenseless against the Los Angeles Rams in the Coliseum before 45,209 tennis-necked fans Sunday afternoon," Art Daley wrote in beginning his account of the game for the Press-Gazette. The Rams, who won 49-21, amassed 611 yards, 33 first downs and didn't punt in a battle between teams that tied for last place in the Western Conference.
