I think 13 might be a stretch for that anemic offense. I didn't think that Orton could make Rex look that good.

A shutout would be awesome, and a nice payback for the previous game that we gave to them.

Payback time Sunday.

Packers 2,000,000, Bears -1,436,248.

Mrs. Howell hasn't named a starting QB yet. It could be Greasey.

Maybe PR's should attempt to 'reconvene' at this game..........tickets should be available.

I heard a nasty rumor that the Bears have as many Pro Bowl players as the Packers. I wonder how that is going to play out this week in the locker room? Someone's ass is about to get spanked.

We should destroy the Huggy Bears no matter who starts at QB......but I always worry about the Bears just because they can cause so many turnovers.

I hope we stomp their ass! Send Bearman into hibernation for the winter! I want to see the score to be 42-6, but a shutout would be better.

Packers 45 - Bears 21

Favre will have a giant game with 400 yards, 4 TD's!

Not sure we should gather again, I think we jinxed them the last time. Wonder how they will handle the kicking to Hester this time? MM said they would rethink their first game strategy which may mean they will kick to him. By the way, where is Bearman? Has anyone heard from him?

It wasn't us. Justin Timberlake is just bad luck for football all around. Should have been permanently banned from stadiums after the "wardrobe malfunction." Bearman was around last week in the game thread...

So we have banned Justin Timberlake, Brett now knows not to throw the ball to the guys wearing the Bears uniform, JJ knows not to let the bear guys steal the ball, so do we or do we not kick to Hester? MM does not want to discuss, Dougherty says we won't, what do you think?

Hester's dangerous, but our ST guys like to create turnovers and well he did fumble one just last week, now, didn't he. I'll be a little disappointed if we don't. Crosby's a good kickoff man. I think he gives enough hangtime that if Hester tries to field one he might just regret it.

I think MM will look at a Bear offense led by Kyle Orton and figure if he keeps Hester off the scoreboard, the Bears have no chance. He'll avoid Hester.

This seems logically possible. The first meeting with the Vikings close game then Packers put it away. 2nd meeting Packers shut them out.

1st meeting with the bears blow out in the making then fall apart 2nd half.
2nd meeting blow out turns into shutout.

Mrs. Howell named Orton the starter. Looks like we won't get any interceptions because Orton can't throw the ball that far.

Orton is the master of the bounce pass. He should play for the Bulls since the bounce pass is legal in basketball and the Bulls need a point guard.

I'd kick to Hester on kickoffs..He has two kickoff returns for touchdowns but he's only 50th in the league in kickoff return average (about 22 yards)..He's all or nothing on kickoffs so I'd just chance it because worst-case scenario he returns one...I would punt it out of bounds though..

I agree with this. They might cross us up and start Griese, and last time I checked he beat us in Green Bay, just like he did as the Tampa starter in 2005 (I realize that those are different teams, but some guys seem to have your number, no matter how good they are overall).

The point is, if they kick it out of bounds against Hester and concede the 40, that would not be wise. Hopefully the conditions at Soldier will allow Crosby to kick the hell out of the ball. His kickoffs could be just as important as anything in this game. As for the punts, I would direction kick them close to the sidelines and let that be one of our defenders, if not completely angle it out of bounds. Cold weather is why we have both of these guys, so they should be on their game.

Bear fans can be so funny! I have a small bet with a co-worker on the Packer/Bear game.

Here are a couple of his silly little dig-emails.

Brettly knows he won’t be leaving solider field victorious. What makes it even better, Pack need to win and can’t rest their ancient superstar. He must play in hopes of obtaining home field advantage in the post season. We will embarrass BRettly like we did in Oct and like Dallas did recently. The Bears star CB, Nate Vasher is back. That is good for a couple of Favre interceptions.

I hope that for you, they don’t cripple brettly. That would be bad going into the postseason and all. Oh well you always have Mr. Rogers. Oh wait, he’s hurt……………again.

The future looks bright.

Amazing he still has some faith in his Bear team. :P

I've harassed him a lot through the years. I'd have my kids with me a lot when I would go to my office on weekends to do paperwork. I'd open his office and let my kids have a field day in there decorating Green and Gold and hanging Favre pics all over. The Packer/Bear battle in the office has been fun.
