Refs are really bad this year, and it is because they have instant replay hanging over their head on ever call, they would rather make a coach have to make a decision, rather than have the balls to do it themselves.

Bad call on Tank Johnson, how can that be illegal? If that is illegal than this whole game really sucks.

Why didn't the Packers sign Tank Johnson?

Even if the cowboys win they really looked like shit. This game isn't gonna taste good to them no matter what happens.

The way their D is playing, I am not sure that you do. On the other hand, if Dallas gets a first down or two the game is over. I guess if they score the TD they kick onside and hope they hold them to a FG if they can't recover.

Didn't see it. Do you think it was a catch, though? What about PI?

I thought that was a BS call. He hit him and fell so he didn't crush him. What are you suppposed to do? not tackle?

If Carolina had handed the ball off the Steve Smith (before he got hurt right now) like 15 times they would be winning this game.

Maybe so, but even if they stop them do you think that offense is going to drive the whole field in a min 20.

20/20, should have kicked the onside :( Good call to whoever called it.

The thing is, if you onside kick it, you essentially get two chances to get the ball back. If you don't recover, you get the chance to stop their offense. The only negative is that if Dallas were to face a 4th and 1 after an onside, they would probably go for it as opposed to punting if they were deep in their own territory.

b bulldog
12-22-2007, 10:15 PM

RashanGary
12-22-2007, 10:16 PM
Collinsworth just said GB has to win to keep Dallas playing all of hteir starters. I agree. Dallas is getting beat up down the stretch here. They could easily lose and if they don't lose, they could easily lose another player or two.

b bulldog
12-22-2007, 10:16 PM
I was wrong here cause they didn't stop them but I disagree because even if you stop them, you will have at least 80 yards to score.

RashanGary
12-22-2007, 10:19 PM
I'm acctually liking our chances more and more as the weeks go by. Dallas looks like an obove average team. Their best player is their edge rusher, Ware.

Cliftons days are numbered, but he has at least a couple more games in him. Clifton and Tausch could easily have great games and keep the rush off Favres back. If you stop those guys, I think that secondary can be had.

We definitely need to win and Washington needs to be playing for the playoffs, though I still think that a divisional rivalry like Washington and Dallas could go either way, just like our game with the Bears.

I think Dallas' Dline will once again give us fits but like the first game, the game will be won and lost in the trenches.

b bulldog

If Brett has time and stays grounded, we definitely have a good chance but hopefully that isn't asking for too much.

RashanGary

TO has a HIGH ankle sprain.

That can be nagging, esspecially with his age.

RashanGary
12-22-2007, 10:24 PM
Dallas should not have that tough of a time against Carolina. Carolina is a very average team.

b bulldog
12-22-2007, 10:25 PM
Age really doesn't matter, it is a nagging injury period. Dallas will be praying tomorrow that we lose so they can rest him. If he goes against the Skins, he will not be 100%. I doubt he sees the field next week.

RashanGary
12-22-2007, 10:25 PM
Washington will have a monster chip on their shoulder no matter what. It might be Gibbs last game and it's against a bitter rival.

b bulldog
12-22-2007, 10:26 PM
Hopefully we don't struggle against the Bears tomorrow. Dallas is not playing real well at the moment, no doubt about that.

b bulldog
12-22-2007, 10:27 PM
Maybe but if they lose tomorrow, they could also have a letdown but at least they will be playing their biggest rival and it will be at HOME!

And we're not?!? I am equally worried about injuries to our guys. The DLine looks very slow these past few weeks.

Good point, they will be playing for thier friend to finish their season and go home greatfull to be alive and happy to see the off season.

Dallas has a major hurdle to get over next week.

The way they've played the last two weeks, they would certainly lose to GB.

b bulldog
12-22-2007, 10:30 PM
No kidding but we have alrEady played them and they moved the ball whenever they needed to against us and they rattled our QB. They dominated the trenches and I'd see them doing it again at Dallas.

We do too. We have two big time divisional games. Just like Dallas, the teams we're playing are not great but they are going to get up for the game. Any given sunday, as they say.

Our Dline has been pretty pedestrian the past three or four games. I think the weather may help the Bears tomorrow. They are calling for 40mph winds and snow but we should definitely win.

b bulldog
12-22-2007, 10:32 PM
I agree Partial, I don't think we have been playing quite as well lately either. brett hasn't been sharp and our D can't generate a rush without blitzing.

My observations from the game:

Matt Moore made some pretty bad throws, but he made some pretty good ones, too. The throw to Steve Smith on 4th and 9 was perfect.

Speaking of Steve Smith, he's one of the toughest players in the NFL. Guy was beat up the whole game and he kept on playing.

Romo played pretty well, but he suffered greatly after T.O. left. If the Packers could somehow shut down T.O. their chances of winning go up tremendously.

The refs called 2 big plays the way of the Cowboys. The first one was on a 35 yard pass early in the 4th quarter that Moore threw deep in his own territory. The Cowboys defensive player jumped on the receiver about a second before the ball got there. No call from the refs. The Panthers then had to punt. Changed the course of the game.

The second one was a big pass to Smith that would of put the Panthers in scoring range. Steve Smith went up, caught it, came down, and the ball then fell out and went out of bounds. The refs ruled that it was an incomplete pass because Smith needed to maintain possession all the way through because he wasn't forced down to ground by a Cowboys player. Personally, I thought it was a catch, but that's just me.

Bottomline, if the Panthers have a competent offense they could of easily won this game. The Cowboys weren't their best tonight and I'm becoming more and more confident that the Redskins can take care of the Cowboys next Sunday.

This is why I will be cheering for the Redskins tonight. By staying alive in the playoff race they will have something to play for against Dallas next week.

The more I see of the Cowboys, the more I believe the Pack is the better team if Woodson is on the field.

My brother got playoff tickets, so I'll bet he went nuts last night with some of those calls that went against the Panthers. :x
