I think this would have been higher had there been no meltdown at Soldier Field.

NE only favored by 14.5 over the Giants. :?:

I think that point spread reflects uncertainty of how long Packers will play their starters since their playoff position is set win or lose.

I think they're only favored by 3 because the Pack really doesn't have anything to gain by winning, they might end up sitting the starters in the 2nd half. I'm sure the Lions will be jacked up like the Bears were, I don't want our starters getting beat up for nothing, so I hope M3 sits them down shortly after the 2nd half kickoff and puts the backups in. I'd like to see ARod get some snaps anyway.

Still, that seems awfully low for a home game at Lambeau--3 points is the standard home field advantage in the spread.

MM could sit guys like Pickett, Harris, Kampy, Woodson, Favre, both T's, Grant and Driver if he wanted to. I doubt he will but he most certainly could.

Yeah, that has to be why it's only 3 points. The Skins, the last I heard, were favored over the Cowboys, I think by 8, which shows that they are thinking that they will be resting players also.

Momentum is a huge force to have going into the playoffs. I think 3M will want to play his starters as long as needed to get some momentum from the terrible loss to the Bears.

Play all sunday to win! But if game should be lopsided then rest starters.

I doubt it. The Bears were at home...the Lions won't be. The Bears have some pride...they went to the Super Bowl last year. The Lions couldn't spell pride if they tried...which is ironic given their team name.

The Lions have typically rolled over and played dead in Lambeau even when the game had some meaning to them during the past 15 years. They've given us some challenges in their dome, but rarely have they come out with any fire at Lambeau...and I expect more of the same this week.

I would like to see the Packers come out to win, not to "get ready for the playoffs." That Chicago game left a bad taste, and another clunker against the Lions will really put a damper on the team and the fans.

And besides that, you really like watching Detroit get abused....

Naturally. It's been a consistent source of pleasure for many, many years.

Packers should be favored by no less than 200.
