Well, the Pats are about to make history. I really like the way Bellichick coaches. He's a ruthless, no bull shit coach who isn't going to act nice just because it's some sort of common cortesy.

Brady, while he's not the most exciting player to watch, is a true WINNER. He's the type of quarterback that I don't think you can really appreciate unless you are a fan of the team he plays (unless you're bulldog and in that case, you root more for the Pats more than the team you say you're a fan of :) :) ).

Their defense is smart and nasty. They may not be as stout as they used to be, but they'll lay that last dirty hit every time. You have to love a defense that plays with that killer attitude. The zone that they run, while I havn't really had time to figure out exactly what the responsibilities are, is the most effective zone on the league IMO. All of their players are reading and reacting instantly. They look as sure and confident as any pass defense I've ever seen. I think the pass defense is the true strength of this defense. It plays very well with theirr big time offense because teams have to try to score quickly and one layer feeds of another. Before you know it, they're up 30 points.

ST's is as rock solid as it gets. They're not the best at anything, but they are NEVER beaten by poor ST's. All of their units are as sound and consistant as it gets.

Enjoy the game everyone. If I was a fan of the team, I'd love it, but as a fan of another team, I watch looking for ways to possibly beat them. I think the best chance is a rugged team like Jacksonville going toe to toe in a bad weather game because in good conditions, this team is just too strong. Injury to Moss or Brady aside, this team seems to be destined for yet another ring and this one comes with the undefeated title. Oh man, as much as you want to enjoy this team, the disgusting media love makes it hard to even watch :) :) Go Giants :) :)

What a fucking phantom holding call! Randy Moss gets away with fucking obvious push offs all day and the Patriots corners never get called for defensive holding.

We shouldn't expect anything else - with all the trouble they went through to get everyone to be able to watch this game, they have to ensure their DARLINGS win.

RashanGary
12-29-2007, 07:54 PM
I thought that was a late hit on Toomer too, Ras. Then then they let Moss's push off go and called a borderline hold. Pats have gotten breaks, Giants none.

Yep. They need a stop here. They're not exhausted yet, but they need to have some extended drives or it will get that way. That is when the real harm is done, when the D gets warn down, Brady has all day and Moss can go up and get a ball if it's in a decent spot.

Giants need a nice drive here. NE seems to be selling out on the run. I think they want Eli to beat them, which is a pretty good strategy. I think NY is going to have to win this one in the air if they are going to win at all.

Pats selling out on the run. They need to pass on 1st until NE stops it.

RashanGary
12-29-2007, 08:15 PM
NE knows their weakness is running and stopping the run. They are trying to work on that going into the playoffs.

Giants need to PA pass on first down until the Pats stop it (and they havn't yet)

Oh, it's been said over on Football's Future whenever argument's start about how good Brett Favre is. Someone inevitably says "if Brett had Brady's line..." and then the Favre-detractors counter with "NE's line isn't that great" or "Brett's line was better in 2004"

Nonsense. This is one of the best pass-blocking lines I've EVER seen.

Giants are playing over their heads. The game plan on how to beat the Pats have been out for awhile and the Giants are playing it perfectly.

Hit them hard, pressure Brady, let them have the run, and hit Moss.

Meanwhile, don't commit TOs and score points.

The Pats D will get tired and if they can continue to pound the ball - then they can control the clock.

I was wondering when someone would make note of that. The G-men are already saying both Dallas and Green Bay look beatable, imagine the confidence boost they'll get if they stop the Patriots from going 16-0?

Rodney Harrison - what a f'n jerk. That guy is nothing but a mouthy, pushy mother.

I'm tired of this whole team. At least the Colts are good guys with a decent coach. Not a bunch of arrogant pricks with an asshole-acting coach.

A more unlikeable bunch of winners, I've never seen.

Colin Cower on ESPN portrayed the Pats the opposite. Said what is hard is they really don't have a lot of jerks so it's hard to hate them. Bellichek is a cold dude; Harrison is a mean hitter but he's not a bad person. Moss has been good this year. Most hate them for their success IMO.

I just get a bad vibe from them. Especially their linebacking group too. Not that they are bad people - I just find them to be arrogant. :?

I've always liked Junior Seau; he gives a ton back to the community and is a great person. Regardless of with who, it would be nice to see him win one
