But there are cracks - generally poor run blocking, some breakdowns in pass pro, and the D? Shows how you have to be strong right up the middle: NT, MLB, Safety. Vikings were without two last night and it hurt them (plus, they don't really have a great safety). Finally, their pass rush is much more effective on turf. The Vikings will look all the better if they are able to secure that #2 and have two nice cosy games in domes.Quote:

Many many times (sigh) but we are stuck with the worthless posts that SC provides to this forum. :cry:Quote:

Good post. This is the point I am at now...I can't root for the Vikings, Favre is my favorite player since James Lofton....What a dilema. I don't root for the Vikings or Favre, I just admire the things he accomplishes and how he plays.Quote:

Anyone who saw that game and is aware of what he did as the Vikings QB shouldn't be saying, seriously, :D that Favre melted down in that game.
The Vikings have some serious issues on their OL and trying to defend the deep pass among other things. Favre is a long ways from being a problem, moreso a serious issue with his team.
Is it? I never even opened this thread until it hit 200. And then it was just to post on how ridiculously high the page count is. Any good moments from this thread? Maybe a "Greatest Highlights" of the thread need to be summarized every fifty pages or so for those who don't want to wade through all the posts...Quote:

Why would he do that unless there is a power struggle? How much of this is Favre's doing, and how much is on Chilly? Is Minnesota going to be a run first, second and then pass team, or will they realize that they (like all successful NFL teams) must rely heavily on the QB and the passing game? These are interesting issues. Hopefully the Vikings get it all wrong, have power struggles and dissension and all this stuff blows up in their faces over the next two weeks so that we don't have to see the Vikings on the field until next year.Quote:

Childress did a poor job with his game plan Monday
He announced to the Bears all week he was re establishing the run
Then they kicked his game plans ass
One series was run run draw play punt
In second half he came out to expose the Bears weaknesses in the secondary and it worked; should have started earlier
Regardless, I wonder where the Vikings Defense has went
Do they miss EJ Henderson that much ?
