Knowing almost nothing about the guy except for his crazy name and that someone said he might be lazy, I'd be curious as to why you don't really want him.

Its mainly the "lazy" thing. He isn't a self starter by most accounts which often means you get a guy who got by being the best athlete on the field and once they get in the NFL they don't do the necessary things to stay that way. I am only basing this on the reports and the 2 games I saw him play where he struck me as similar to Antonio Cromartie when it came to wanting to tackle a tough RB.
Packers QB Alex McGough now listed on roster as WR. He has no known history as a WR.
In a totally expected move, Packers declined to pick up the 5th year option on Eric Stokes. If the Packers had picked up the option, they would have owed Stokes 12.472 million in 2025.
We have a young talented receiver room. This guy is a smart, gritty ball player. He’s experienced in the offense from the quarterbacks perspective. He’s close with Love. I don’t think any harm can come with this guy being in the receivers room with these young guys who could use the direction on how to get on the same page with the quarterbacks room.
Jerod Goff. 53M/yr 170M guaranteed.
I think they're waiting for the Devondre June 1 cap space to get the Jordan Love deal done, but I'm sure they are already fine tuning the numbers and well into conversations.
That Goff contract though. Oof.
How many years is the Goff deal essentially locked in? The guy is good, he's solid - but wow.
He is a good NFL QB, but to my way of thinking, Goff throws interceptions at key moments and is not at all a threat to run. But man, maybe that’s the going rate for QB’s. Packers better get this done before Justin Fields gets a new contact for $50 mill a year.
Vikings sign Justin Jefferson to 4 year, $140 million extension.
Highest paid WR, and highest paid non-QB. He's a great player, but wow...that's a lot of money.
Larry Allen, HOF Cowboy dies at 53. Really disliked those Cowboys teams, but he was a monster. Unreal strength.
Darren Waller expected to retire. In hindsight, I'm not Gute never was able to pull the trade.

Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb, still seeking a contract extension, is not expected to attend the team’s mandatory minicamp that opens today and continues this week.

Fornadel was tremendous for the

Most years we are still thinking about what positions they need to upgrade, try to sign some veteran to plug a hole. Devondre Campbell a few years ago, for example. But what position needs more bodies this year?
None that I can see, at least until injuries kick in.
And Wayne Simmons - a man amongst boys. Hope we see a bit of that this year with the youngsters.
KC player suffers a seizure in a team meeting. https://www.cnn.com/2024/06/06/sport...son/index.html. I hope they can get things sorted out medically, but given the unpredictable nature of seizures, he might be forced to retire from this.
He had a pretty bad heart attack in the process from what I read. I would say in likelihood his career is over. In a vacuum I don't think Hamler would have ever played another snap, but the NFL didn't want to hang a young guy out to dry before he even had a shot at a second contract. Him being allowed back on the Buffalo roster was a PR move, not a medical/football move. This guy didn't have his issue on national TV so he will be thrown to the scrap heap like used underwear.
Also, Hamler's problem was caused by a known phenomenon of a hard chest compression at the wrong time of the heartbeat. It's incredibly rare and caused by an external event. Once he recovered, there was no more risk to him than anyone else on the field. Thompsons' problem was entirely internal to him, and harder to mitigate. But I do agree that the push to get Hamler back on the field was increased because the event happened on TV.
