The Madden NFL 09 official cover athlete is expected be released on Friday April 25, 2008 on EA's official Madden 09 site, and the Xbox 360 Dashboard. It will be also re-announced at the 2008 NFL Draft, the weekend following. It has also be announced that the new commentators/announcers are expected to be confirmed at the same time. There have been a multitude of rumors concerning the cover, notably Superbowl XLII winner Eli Manning of the New York Giants, and rookie Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings, who had a breakout rookie season in the NFL. Other names that have been speculated include Tony Romo, Terrell Owens, Tom Brady, Randy Moss, Sean Taylor, Reggie Wayne, Reggie Bush and Chewbacka.

I hope its Brady or Moss... It would be an honor to see those cocky patriots fall on their asses once again...
