Update: The Titans have told McNair they don't want him working out with the team until his contract is reworked, the Tennessean reports.

Recommendation: McNair was told to go home Monday when he arrived at the team's headquarters for the start of the third week in the Titans' offseason conditioning program. The team is likely concerned that McNair could get injured before his contract situation is settled. In that case, the team would be liable for $9 million. Add to that the distinct possibility that Tennessee may draft Matt Leinart, and it's clear that without a restructured deal, the Titans could decide to part ways with McNair.

The interesting thing about McNair getting booted out of the offseason program is the new CBA expressly forbids teams from locking out players from the team for disiplinary reasons. I doubt if they would be allowed to for the hell of it. If McNairs people pushed it they could probably get an arbitrator to force the team to let him in and they be forced to either accept the risk or cut him.
