I guess Faine isn't going to happen, eh?

Wonder what's not to like about this guy.

Proven starter. Reasonable salary. No serious injury history, and it apparently interested in coming to GB.

The only knock I've seen against him is that he's a little light (no, not there Nutz) at 285. But that shouldn't be a problem in our system.

    I don't get why a 4th is too much.

I thought we didn't have a 4th and that was the problem.

I think we have pick 104 and Cleveland has pick 110. I wouldn't be surprised if TT waits until draft day to pull the trigger on a trade like this. If he thinks he can draft a better prospect at 104, he'll draft. It seems nobody else wants Faine at this point, or else they would have picked him up already. I think we just have to be patient...

Maybe TT knows we have a lot of holes to fill with a few picks and thinks that Wells is adequate enough at center that he can focus his attention where it's needed more.

You're telling me. Draft Day is the 3rd most wonderful time of the year:

1.) Extended bowl week (Christmas-Jan. 4) College Football every day. Could it get any better?
2.) March Madness (1st two weekends) Buzzer Beaters, Cinderellas, and constant entertainment (NW St. beating Iowa-I cried laughing)
3.) Draft Day - New hope for a new year.
4.) Super Bowl -Automatically #1 if the Packers are in it.
    5.) Start of NFL season

I swear if the NCAA had no tournament, I'd go nuts. I'm ready for the NFL draft 5 minutes after the Super Bowl.

    # 50 Jeff Faine Position: C Height: 6- 3 Weight: 291
Born: 04/06/1981 College: Notre Dame NFL Experience: 4

Ziggy you can use both Wells and Faine at G or C.

Jeff Faine has experience already in the zone blocking scheme, he's only 25 years old and that fella that joined us tonight , ND72 knows Jeff Faine's ability, if I'm not mistaken. I believe he (ND72) was high on this prospect of landing a young and experienced talent such as this.

This is a Go - Go all the way, as Faine even said he wanted to come to Green Bay. Just more of Ted Thompson and his weary penchant to procrastinate.

Yes he did in both 2004 and 2005.

If I recall correctly, he had a few problems last Season getting the ball to Favre when he stood in for Mike Flanigan.Wells looked like OUR C for the future in 2004 as he saw time there along with Grey Ruegamer.
