    Adrian Petersen Arrested

You would think a new stadium would turn around the luck with our neighbors to the West, but not in this case.

Petersen arrested for resisting arrest (no word on what he did that warranted arrest in the first place) at a Houston nightclub.

Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Don't think he's been in trouble before...

Initial reports don't look good for the police. They came in to clear out the bar at 2:30am, and he went to get some water before leaving. Words were exchanged, officer and bouncer told him he had to leave, so he did. On the way out, one of the cops jumped him from behind. All of this on surveillance tapes.

One of the comments on the story was hilarious. Said he was only arrested because they mistook him for John Jolly, their favorite target in Houston

Toby Gerhart doesn't seem to have these problems.

I think somehow he'll find a way to put this misdemeanor arrest behind him.

And I'm going to stay the fuck out of Houston. Most the the places I go to don't need off duty cops to close up.

I always am gleeful when a Viking or Lion or Bear is arrested, We havent had anything real serious in that regard in a while. I'm always mindful any of our guys could get arrested - so karma sets in.

Be careful with that thought, it wasn't too long ago we were parsing bar room behavior over Barnett in Appleton.

The Karmic bite-back on Schadenfreude can be painfully ironic.

At least he didn't get behind the wheel. It probably won't be matter much since even if he gets a game or two, they can work it int games that he would miss because he is still recovering from his injury.

Yeah sounds about right since they said he rarely drank before. Truth comes out when lit up is all. Sounds like he is just guilty of being a drunk asshole.

    This just got more interesting.

Peterson hired Rusty Hardin, the guy who defended Roger Clemens! Hardly needed to defend a misdemeanor, which would result in pretty much nothing, considering it's a first offense. So either there are going to be more charges out of this we are not yet aware of, or Peterson is going to go on the offensive, and try to take a chunk out of the Houston PD with some sort of an excessive force claim.

Stay tuned, this could be a good ride, and a much better offseason distraction than bountygate and Brees' franchise tag squabble!

The cop got a call from the Vikings for a tryout since he could take down AP.

Hardin has said any suggestion Peterson was drunk or was the aggressor is wrong. He does ask a good question, he he threw the first punch, should he not have been charged with assault and battery?
