    Javon Walker
    Al Harris
    Ahman Green
    Nick Barnett

these guys have all been on,and Jim Rome always blows smoke up their ass trying to talk about how much they deserve it. (Although, they DO all deserve it

    It's still weird....

Gosh Darn TT, re-sign this guy. He's intelligent, kind, and very well spoken. If there is a model Packer-person he fits it. I really wouldn't mind seeing Barnett play here for the rest of his long career.

Very well spoken. I like what he said regarding Pacman Jones. Bottomline, Nick wants to be a Packer and it's TT's responsibility to keep him a Packer.

Barnett will be locked up long-term soon enough. Don't even sweat about it.

And he'll be doing the "Tailgate Tour."

'Tailgate Tour' Hits the Road Again, May 1-4

TOUR TO MAKE STOPS IN SUPERIOR, EAU CLAIRE, MADISON, RACINE AREAS; HARLAN, JONES, BARNETT, RODGERS, TAUSCHER TO SAY 'THANKS' IN PERSON

The Packers today announced plans for the second 'Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour,' set for May 1-4, 2007, again setting out across the state to thank fans in person for their enduring and enthusiastic support of the club through the years.

The event, in a reprisal of the popular inaugural tour last July, will include Chairman Bob Harlan, President John Jones and players Nick Barnett, Aaron Rodgers and Mark Tauscher. The tour will take place aboard a customized motor coach emblazoned with the logo "Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour" and the phrase "Touching Down in Your Community."

The tour will make stops in Superior (May 1) Eau Claire (May 2), McFarland (Madison area) (May 3) and Racine (May 4). Additionally, Kevin Barry will join the tour for the McFarland tailgate party and replace Tauscher for the Racine party, due to a prior commitment for Tauscher.

The motor coach will make one scheduled stop during the day at a site to be determined in each area. At the visit, tour members will have the opportunity to interact with fans and deliver the message of "thanks." In addition to the planned stops, surprise stops will be made as the schedule allows.

Culminating the day's activities during the 'Tailgate Tour' will be an evening tailgate party in each city from 6 to 8:30 p.m., with a flavor of famous Lambeau Field tailgating, hosted by a local non-profit organization. The parties will feature food and mingling with the Packers representatives. At each tailgate party, footballs autographed by each tour member will be given away as door prizes. Tailgate party tickets will cost $20, with proceeds to benefit the hosting organization.

"We're excited about hitting the road again this year," said Harlan. "Last year's tour was such a great experience for everyone involved, and I know the fans had a great time. We look forward to seeing some different areas of Wisconsin and saying thanks."

"I'm looking forward to this year's tour," said Jones. "We've got great, supportive fans all across the state, and to say hello and celebrate Packers football with them will be a fun experience. Raising money in the process for some fine organizations is a nice benefit as well."

'Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour' evening tailgate party locations and ticket information are as follows (6 to 8:30 p.m. in each city):

    - Superior: Wessman Arena, May 1. To benefit Superior-Douglas County Family YMCA Strong Kid's Campaign. Tickets on sale beginning 1 p.m., March 11 at the Superior YMCA, 9 N 21st St. Purchase/information: Jackie Minor or Mike Kraft (715/392-5611).

Nick said he doesn't know if they fully value him and if he gets to the FA market he is going to test it.

Barnett is taking a buisness stance here and he's making it clear that he won't sign for anything less than top dollar.

I don't picture Barnett being reasonable here.

I'd offer him 6 years 36 mil with 13 up front. He'd get alot more on the FA market but this is fair for signing a year early esspecially when you consider that the Packers could franchise him and keep him for anohter year wioth no long term risk.

If it gets done, I would expect it to get done before the season begins. The closer Barnett gets to free agency the lower his chances of being with the Packers.

We will never give him full market value so the only thing we can hope for is tha tBarnett takes one of those early deal discounts. 6 per year is fair. Hawk is getting that as a rookie. With the inflation, I think Barnett is worth all of that. Let's just hope the huge money up front is enough to lure him into signing.

Agree with all of this; last year Weatherspoon received around 33MIL for six years; I'd bet NB gets around that.

I also think the 3-3.5 Mil per year range for Ahman Green is about on as well. They might have to give him a 3yr deal to get it done though
