    Favre says 2006 would be his last, if he chooses to play

    Not sure if anyone caught wind of this yet...

    http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercu...s/14236064.htm

    Apparently, Favre told the newspaper down there that IF he plays in 2006, it will FOR SURE be his last season. I've never seen that reported before now. It was always left open.

    2006 = last season / retirement

    Yeah, I heard that last night on the late local newscasts.

    Sad to see him go, retiring now or after 06 season.

    I just hate this soap opera that has gone on the last several seasons!

    So, he wants to win...WHO DOESN'T!! I have had the pleasure of seeing him play at Lambeau, if he quits now so be it and move on. If he comes back, he shouldn't have to wait for the draft or FA.

    Play or don't play!!

    Someone on Twitter today predicted that with the Tebow trade and the Saints penalties breaking, that all it would take was a Favre un-retirement to San Fran to break Twitter and cause the world to end.
    Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

    Brees is mad at the Saints. Favre will finish his career close to home. You heard it here first.

    And had he followed through, his legacy would probably still be intact.

    Nostalgia got the best of me. Actually, I was looking for the 2006 Draft Day Thread to see what Bretsky thought about Manny Lawson. Couldn't find it. Stumbled across this instead.

    It's a good bump.

    Oh come on, you haven't felt a little favre urge lately? Its been a long time since we had breaking lawn mower news here. Besides everybody likes to pick at scabs. I for one would like to see him start for Detroit this year, or possibly Chicago. It would be nice for him to help out the packers again.

    Holy smoke !

    Don't even breath that. (-:

    I hope so. I hope his career is finished. Last time I checked Brett Favre is retired as an NFL QB.
