Mathews cant hitchike for a bit.

Seems like he could play through it I hope.
Swede: My expertise in this area is extensive. The essential difference between a "battleship" and an "aircraft carrier" is that an aircraft carrier requires five direct hits to sink, but it takes only four direct hits to sink a battleship.

That article mentoned Nick Perry left with an ankle injury. Unless he hurt it later, it was just his shoe that came off and he couldn't get it back on.

Perry told reporters he was hurt on that play and it was his ankle.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Perry did come back in, though, and proceeded to get a sack. Maybe Jolly's grit is rubbing off on some of these guys.

I guess putting on "The Club" is not an option.

McCarthy stated that he was still being tested and ESPN says he's going to miss a month.

Who do you believe? My guess...ESPN...sadly.

So anybody who felt bad that the Lions had to play without Megatron...well, quit feeling bad.

    A month, huh?

I'm guessing Brad Jones will be about a month, too.

It's getting ridiculous, as it always does around here with injuries.

And don't tell me all NFL teams get this many injuries, cuz the Lions sure don't. C. Johnson's going to play next week. He misses a total of one game. The Leos are a pretty healthy team in comparison with GB.

Can one "nut up" with a broken thumb, or are both thumbs require for this "nutting up"?

He needs them to gouge the opponent's eyes when they're at the bottom of the pile. Everybody knows that.

Pretty surprised by a month (and talk of possibly the season) for a thumb as well. I also expected they would just wrap it and give him a club. Like to know more details about this break!

I suppose this month will give him enough time to heal up that hammy. Besides that one sack he was pretty quiet yesterday. I thought Perry and especially Neal played very well.

4 week to possible season ending injury for a guy we can't afford to lose. Ugh!

As long as he is back a little before playoffs the Packers should be fine. He'll need a game or two to get used to playing with a club.

Neal & Perry can play. Losing Francois hurts a lot, that guy could play inside or out, and now Packers have serious depth problems at all LB positions.

    Next Man Up, Bitches!

Neal is looking stronger and stronger as the season progresses, Perry looks at home on the right side.

Let's roll, mother fuckers! This is how champions are forged.

The offense better heat up and start scoring 35+ a game.

We take having opposable thumbs for granted until they suddenly stop opposing. He wouldn't be able to grip anything = sudden serious decline in tackling. Maybe not such a big deal with a lineman (Cullen Jenkins), but a guy like Clay who is always going horizontal needs to be able to use his hands. Sit him down until he is recovered.
