Soccer is here to stay.
This World Cup has been amazing and the USA did a great job hosting.
The sport will only continue to grow.
Embrace the sport. The Packers are my number one team/sport, but I have been heavily involved in soccer for decades.

Soccer is like watching paint dry. The only redeeming quality was that we had a "home team" to root for. Now we don't, so fuck the whole thing.

my son is 21, when he was young he use to talk about “problems in people’s brains.” Think about what he was saying as a child.
Wtf is with “irrelevant excuse for a sport out of the way.”
Anyhow, a few weeks from now we will be dreaming of our Packers again, hoping for our 14th Championship.
And go Argentina or Norway!Last edited by Vincenzo; 07-07-2026, 02:14 PM.

Ole Tex likes to brag about the regular season gloriesOriginally posted by pbmax View Post
What are you talking about? The final isn't for another 12 days!
the Packers having been experiencing for 30+ years. Said he would take it over two extra Super Bowl wins AND a few more losing seasons.
If he weren’t so ignorant, he’d root for European professional football. Football there, and I just found this out about 15 minutes ago (thanks to YouTube), the big leagues don’t do playoffs. They crown regular season champions. Like, if Claymaker on ‘roid lookalike, Haaland, and his Manchester City finish the season atop of the Premier League standings, they’re the champs. No playoffs.
And, btw, thanks YouTube, Esmir Bajraktarevic is known as the Milwaukee Messi because folks outside of Wisconsin ain’t got a fucking clue where the fuck is that boring town, Appleton, the dude’s birthplace. So Milwaukee stuck.

I wonder how much they practiced and planned without Balogun in the gameplan. Then you put him back in with a teensy bit of pressure to play him.

That was a poor showing. For a minute, at the beginning of the second half, it looked like the US might press the attack and get the equalizer.
Then Belgium got that breakaway and the keeper biffed it completely. And that was all she wrote.

With Japan and all the African teams not named Morocco eliminated, this fair-weather soccer fan is now rooting for Norway. Underdogs make great Cinderella stories. Plus, Erling Haaland looks like the Claymaker on ‘roid. Maybe Norway fans could do the “SKOL” chant in the next game - to mock Queens fans.

USMNT was ranked #17 in FIFA World Rankings before World Cup started. Made Rounf of 16, then got toasted by Belgium. They were who most thought they were. Gotta wonder if Poch wants to stay or go back to club coaching.

That was brutal except for a couple of stretches. Thought Balogun might pull one out late but it hit the keeper square. I liked the substitution to get Reyna in there to link up the back line with the front so the wings wouldn't just keep turning it over but they never got service into the box nor anyone in a regularly threatening position there. Their best efforts were still counter attacks on the move.
Matt Turner has got to be replaced at goalie. That was worthy of America's Funniest Home Videos. Oddly for a US team they have no height which made defending crossers and corners an adventure.

Proud of the effort up through tonight.
We went out like Brett Favre in a cold playoff game.

Balogun’s suspension reversed - proof of corruption within FIFA. Belgium has gotta be pissed as fuck.
Go Norway!
