I say the correct answer in the 1st round would have been Paterson. Jordy and Cobb are both FA next year and Jones is this year. Patterson represents a promising player at a position of need on a cheap 5 year contract and happens to also be a probowl return man. Our WR corps is lacking a guy who can be a vertical threat. Jordy is aging out of that role. I'm surprised people would have preferred Elam. That seems short sighted. We needed a safety and he may have been the next one taken but its not he was great for the ravens or anything. Certainly not the kind of value you hope for with a 1st round pick. Cyprien struggled in coverage but he was arguably better and improved more although I wouldn't take him either.

In round 2 its hard to top what Ted did. Warford is a monster, but Lacy is a much bigger need for the Packers who already have a pair of solid guards.

The author of this thread put a lot of work into it and I believe there is value in carefully examing the draft last season and back to see if we can surmise any trends and TT and his Drafting Team success or not focus !?

Patterson is an elite talent and would have been the best value pick at that spot; if we redraft and take the BPA ya gotta roll with Patterson
