Best thing about House is that he might be limited somewhat, but what he does well, be big, play press, is exactly what Capers has shown he likes to use.

Having Hayward around last year might have helped that zone, but he is an odd fit as a stater in Caper's man.

House, if still at a relatively high level, gives Capers a presence he needs and will use to good effect.

So now that the Cook question has been resolved (and Ted surprises everyone!), this solidifies one part of the cap equation and allows this team to go out and get House. Then they can play around with whether Connor Barwin is worth a look-see, since that's what so many Packerrats want. I don't enough to say whether this would be a good move or whether it's that old urge for fans to believe that big name = guarenteed production.
