higher cap= double edge sword for players?

is it just me, or is there a very high number of vets getting cut this year?

i'm wondering if the higher cap has something to do with this. they have more cap room, so it doesn't bother them as much to cut a guy thats about to make a huge salary, and take the cap hit

it could come back to hurt some players
