QB's have to be very intellegent people to be successful, and when he get sback into breaking down film and concentrating on actual plays, even if limited or rehabbing, can be a big mental toll verse being in your comfort zone, sleeping in your OWN bed every night, throwing to kids without any expectations (which is obviously a great experience for those kids).

Is this a joke? Comfort zones? Own bed? Is Brett a football player or a 12 year old nervous about going away to summer camp?

I found this quote ironic:

Favre nonchalantly declined to address the situation. "I've got my hands full with the Jets," he said.
Since the photos were from him having his hands full while he was a Jet

Why the hell would you want to have fun on an internet forum? Everyone knows the internet is merely a tool invented by Al Gore for himself and Brett Favre to harrass big breasted women.

It has to be Favre...Jenn is practically a spitting image of Deanna...he has a type, and it is brunette.

NFL looking into Favre allegations

By BARRY WILNER, AP Pro Football Writer 29 minutes ago

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP)—The NFL says it is reviewing allegations involving the Vikings’ Brett Favre(notes), who the website Deadspin says sent racy messages and photos to a former sideline reporter while he played for the Jets.

League spokesman Greg Aiello said Friday, “We are reviewing the matter,” when asked about reports that Favre sent voice mails and photos to Jenn Sterger.

Asked about the website report on Thursday, Favre, now with the Minnesota Vikings, said, “I’m not getting into that.”

Woody, I agree with Red. Whatever objection you had to the content of that post was far outstripped by the fit you pitched. Your language and anger were exactly the kind of thing you deplore elsewhere on this site.

You have raised questions about the character of both players and posters with far less evidence than is available for Favre's current imbroglio.

You cannot lay claim to any authority bestowed by your blameless conduct and then engage in the very behavior to which you object. That thread is very mild given the subject matter and there is plenty of evidence against the QB to make it a fit matter of public discussion and not simply a session of gossip or groundless speculation.

Exactly what did you accomplish by rising to the bait laid by others? Every instance of material mentioned in that thread has been posted here. You let people who disagree with you get the better of you for no good end.

I normally enjoy the perspective you bring, even while I disagree with your beliefs about Favre and Thompson. But your comments in that thread went too far.

"Prickly dilemna" Very well done Jason.

He does bring up a good point though. Goodell has to do something about this and if he just gives him a slap on the wrist, it's going to be sh*t-storm about preferencial treatment.

Hopefully he'll do something about it and soon as well. If he's so quick to penalize a coach for the middle finger (and an owner of a franchise last year) then he should be equally as diligent and expedient about this as well.

Any other player would be at a serious risk for a suspension. The problem is that a big part of Brett is the streak, so does Goodell have the balls to end it with a suspension that is under his discretion (as apposed to the mandatory ones like steroid use).

Of course if the pictures are not of / from him, then there will be no suspension, as the voice messages do not really sound to me like harassment. Since he is married, it does impact the image of the league, but has the league ever done anything to anyone for screwing around, or in this case trying to screw around? At the very most it would be a $10k fine, just to make the league look good.

I'll move this discussion here, out of my limited respect for Madtown.

This has been an ugly ...UGLY day for me @ Packerrats in terms of the possible Brett Favre scandal having a foundation of TRUTH.

This is the best portion of a post I've seen you make on this. Obviously you and I feel very different about this news. But then there is issue of the news itself. And that stands alone, apart from how you and I feel about it. And it deserves to be here, as it's relevant to the Packer season.

NO Scott. Absolutely NO.

There is ' no place ' for that defamatory content in this section of Packerrats or in my opinion, any section of Packerrats.

I'll explain to you the best I can. Why I believe this is the case Scott Campbell?

It's flaming and in terms related to the principle parties RE: your or anyone else's here at Packerrats. This issue with Brett Favre specifically related to the Deadspin release:

Is accusing and / or defamatory.

PACKERRATS is more important than ........ you.

The reputation of PACKERRATS is more important than ......you.

Also. Your going to risk ruining a decent thread if you continue.

Not sure how you can call it defamatory after yesterday.

Its an interesting question. One of the articles makes note of a statement from the Jets: "[t]he team also made it known that Sterger was a contractor hired to work on game days only, and that she didn't work directly for the Jets". I do not know if a slightly different employment status affects the Jets or NFL's liability.

This is about to get worse. It appears Jenn Sterger wasn't the only woman who received unwanted and inappropriate text messages from Brett Favre while he played for the Jets. Favre also pursued two team massage therapists, according to one of the women.

The woman (who wishes to remain anonymous for now — we'll call her "Mandy") worked as a massage therapist for the team for a couple years, but she says never had an incident with a player until No. 4 showed up at training camp at Hofstra University, where the Jets still worked out in 2008. "He was on the table next to mine," she tells me. "He was looking at my ass the whole time while I worked on another player. He was ... ogling me."

The woman who was massaging Brett that day (massage therapist No. 2, or "Lindsay") exchanged numbers with him. (Mandy claims it's common for players to take the numbers of team-contracted massage therapists should they need additional rubdowns off campus. Yeah, I know. Please don't.)

Lindsay received a text message from Favre, according to Mandy. Lindsay assumed it was for a massage but quickly realized Brett was asking for more. He invited both Lindsay and Mandy back to his hotel room. Mandy claims that the texts became increasingly inappropriate ("just nasty stuff"), but she adds that Brett did apologize when he found out she was married.

This apology over text, however, wasn't enough for Mandy's husband. We'll call him "John".

"I called him on his phone and told him I wanted an apology. He acted all arrogant. He refused to apologize," John tells me in a phone conversation.

Mandy and John say they approached attorneys about the situation but were told that because Mandy was a private contractor, there were no grounds for a harassment case. They didn't pursue anything.

But, after reading the story in the New York Post this morning, they decided to come forward with their story. Mandy's husband John reached out both to Deadspin and the Post. They don't want to reveal their names just yet, John says, and they "don't want photographers on their front lawn." But they said they're still considering going public with it. First, they want to talk to the NFL and the Jets. They gave me permission to pass along their info to the team, which I did. If someone from the NFL wants to reach out to them, they'll talk to someone there, too.

Also? Mandy says she and Lindsay still have some of the text messages. Hooray.

Are the walls closing in on Brett Favre?
By Doug Farrar

In the last three years, the Brett Favre we used to know has changed. He was the most recent (and perhaps all-time best) name on that list of gunslingers we love so well. From Bobby Layne to Joe Namath to Terry Bradshaw to Ken Stabler to John Elway, there are few things the NFL community respects more than a guy who will pull himself up out of the muck and throw a 60-yard bomb for the winning score. There's a certain mentality to it that transcends the game, and Favre showed enough of it though his career in Green Bay to build up a big bank account of media love.

Through his departure from the Packers to where we stand now, Favre would need it. In traveling from Green Bay to New York to Minnesota, he's displayed his worst traits and brought out some of the media's worst, as well. It's become clear that in the end, Favre is driven as much by his insecurities as his bravado -- insecurities about how his body will hold up, how he's seen at any given time, and what the people dependent on his ability to fling touchdown passes will do to prove their need for him to do so every single year. The annual retirement drama has morphed into a cross between a four-year-old kid threatening to run away from home and the most unintentionally hilarious media campouts you will ever see.

But with the recent allegations against Favre, the league's Golden Boy is less a complicated hero and more a field of landmines for his team and the league. The NFL is now investigating allegations unearthed by Deadspin.com that Favre texted inappropriate messages and photos to Jenn Sterger, a former New York Jets "game hostess", when he was the Jets' quarterback in 2008. That was bad enough, but those allegations brought out others. Now, two massage therapists who were part of the Jets' physical therapy group have come out and said that Favre sent them similar messages. You can go to Deadspin.com and hear what certainly sounds like voicemails to Sterger from Favre, clumsily attempting a hookup that doesn't appear to have reciprocal interest. It's a grab bag of stuff for the media, especially with Favre's Vikings getting ready to face the Jets this Monday, and so soon after the Ines Sainz drama.

(By the way, it's important to note that the alleged Favre stuff in New York happened during Eric Mangini's time as the team's head coach, though Tony Dungy will probably find a way to blame it on Rex Ryan).

Why are these allegations important? Why are they any of our business? And why is it such a potential problem for the NFL?

First, the allegations are important because the NFL has a personal conduct policy that reaches into the lives of its players. And with the possibility that a Jets employee acted as an intermediary between Favre and Sterger, this becomes more of a public matter -- now, we're dealing with the possibility of workplace harassment.

And the allegations are our business because Brett Favre is our business, and that's the way Brett Favre wants it. Favre has made a tacit agreement with the media that during the offseason, he will keep the tension of those retirement/non-retirement announcements going as long as possible, giving said media something to talk about incessantly when doing homework on minicamp bodies and sixth-round draft picks doesn't have the juice we're looking for. Ed Werder and Scott Hanson (who are qualified for far better things) can be sent to Hattiesburg on a moment's notice every time something burps up from the Favre compound, and the circus can start all over again. One wonders how "comprehensive" the coverage will be if the allegations against Favre uncover truths as deep and disturbing as they appear.

And the NFL, who just made a major moral statement with Ben Roethlisberger's(notes) four-game suspension, can not been seen as weak if another star quarterback has engaged in deviant behavior of any stripe. What if Roger Goodell has no choice but to slam the hammer down, and levy a large fine and/or multi-game suspension against Favre? That could easily prompt the one arrow Favre is always eager to pull from his quiver -- the specter of yet another retirement. For a readership/listenership/viewership that would probably prefer a work stoppage to another offseason of "Will he or won't he?" -- that's where everyone could be feeling Favre's punishment.

"I'm not getting into that," Favre said during the press conference that announced the trade for Randy Moss(notes). "I've got my hands full with the Jets and am trying to get some timing down with our guys, so that's all I'm going to discuss."

Don't worry, Brett. We'll do the talking for now. You're the center of attention again, and we know how important that kind of momentum is to you.

MNF - Monday 11 Oct, 2010

Brett Favre Records Milestones in Comeback Attempt Loss to New York Jets on MNF.

Brett Favre now in his 20th season and starting in his 289th consecutive regular season game at quarterback; and under investigation as a result of claims he may have violated the NFL's Ethics and Morals Clause. Now under investigation by the NFL. Set personal and NFL standards as his team The Minnesota Vikings fought hard in a desperate comeback attempt in a 29-20 loss to the New York JETS.

In this game, Brett Favre recorded two milestones.

Brett Favre passed for his 500th career regular season touchdown. The second most career touchdown pass's in the NFL record books is 420 and was achieved by Dan Marino of the Miami Dolphins Great, and a current member of the NFL Hall Of Fame.

Brett Favre connected with Randy Moss from 37 yards out late in the third quarter to cut the Jets' lead to 12-7. Less than 5 minutes later, Favre hit Percy Harvin for a 34-yard touchdown. Favre's two-point conversion try was intercepted.

Favre ended the tough night as he often failed to find adequate time to pass, as the Jets defense poured down on him, 14 of 34 for 264 yards and 3 touchdowns with one interception.

Brett Favre also exceeded 70 thousand career passing yards in this game.

Is that a fact. Isn't he something Harvey. :)

I was watching that game ay Malarky's Irish Pub in Morrisville, Vermont and the joint closed down before the game ended.

He's certainly taking some punishment on the field this season, with the manner that his offensive line isn't performing. He's having a difficult time trying to set himself for most pass attempts. It's like last season in the NFC Championship game. Brutal to watch.

AS I'm seeing it. The Vikings will never get it going unless that OL gets corrected. It's looking like us or the Bears forr the NFCN Crown.

GO PACK GO!

Yeah, and in a similar fashion, really, to what he has experienced all season - he just had no time to throw the ball, and while it wasn't 4th down where he has to throw it period, it was 3rd down and it looked like he just got rid of it.

I'll give him some credit - they didn't really try to the throw the ball the entire first half, and he came back and tossed 3td's in the second half. On 3rd and what was it, 19, he connects with moss 30+ yards down the field for a TD. As soon as that happened, the entire game started to turn. He found some wr's getting more open as it appeared there was more attention payed to the deep ball, and percy harvin showed he greatly beenfited being back int he slot, even with Revis on him. Revis didn't looke himself, and something tells me he isn't 100%.

The vikings aren't out of it yet - the bears are just not very good, so they are going to lose some games eventually. The packers are decimated with injuries and only have one less loss than the vikings, and we still have to play them twice. The vikings defense still looks really good, and the vikings, for the first time this year, proved they can throw the ball.

Favre and company can take away from this game that they are clearly still heading "up" in terms of their production on the field. THe Jets are arguably the best team in the NFL and the vikings fought back against the best defense in the NFL. They kept it close early against the saints.

Vikings, even with protection problems, are still a very good football team. Their outlook this season, at 1-3, is looking better I think than the rest of our division. Packers are really struggling with so many inhuries.... and lol, the bears suck hardcore.

Yes.

That Minny loss was to a very solid 'overall' football team. Maybe the best right now in the AFC. What the Vikings did Vs 'it was the JETS" and with their OL nowhere in the first half, and them down 12-0 before Favre connected with Randy Moss to tighten it up and then make a final push.

They can take something positive forward out of that MNF game.

If the Vikings can patch up their OL then they will play alot better. Favre had little protection in that first half. It took what seemed like their 6th possession before the Viking 'O' did anything really good....and it looked better after that.

Overall Favre looked pretty good, all things considered :) , and he was certainly focused throughout the game. They have Dallas at home come Sunday and 'the Cowboys' coming off a loss at home to Tennessee,

That will be a vital game for both Dallas and Minny.

THe Boys will want some redemption fr. last season's playoff loss and they too need to recover fast. A big game coming up for Minny @ Home to Dallas.

It's even a ' look out for 'the Lions', after loads of 'O' at home to Rams in week 5.

GO PACKERS!

Suspension would end Favre’s iron-man march

By Dan Wetzel, Yahoo! Sports

Oct 11, 3:41 pm EDT

The Jenn Sterger saga may accomplish what two decades of NFL defensive lineman couldn’t – end Brett Favre’s(notes) record consecutive games started streak.

Allegations of a sex scandal could jeopardize Brett Favre's start streak.

Favre has started 288 consecutive regular season games (289 after last night). at quarterback. Add in 24 playoff games and he is, by far, the NFL leader (second place Peyton Manning(notes), 197/215). He’s started every game since Week 4 of the 1992 season, an iron man streak of unfathomable levels (only four other QBs have ever gone over 100 consecutive starts).

that's good copy. Almost makes you forget the Vikings have a defense that keeps them in the game, wide receivers to catch the ball, and a QB who routinely throws game-ending picks.

Queue up "The Autumn Winds"

"And the grizzled Brett Favre, under the withering onslaught of strafing Jet attacks, willed his overmatched squad to within two points of the prize, only to have victory snatched away at the last moment. These are the fortunes of war..."

I wonder if he misidentified the pressure--like so many are so quick to jump on Rodgers for? Anybody notice how eerily similar the two interceptions were? Both (Rodgers and Favre) rolled out to the right and had an unblocked defender bum rushing them. They both threw as they were rolling to the right (off-balance throws), trying to get the ball to the outside. Both guys threw the ball too far inside. Neither should have thrown the ball. Perhaps both should have identified the pressure better.

Its odd that in each case there was not a short option to occupy that defender's attention. I wonder if that was by design or if there was a breakdown.

I woulda loved to start a new thread for this - And I woulda titled it something like:

"Favre's future career is in acting"

but it concerns GrandFavre (Pronounced grand fah-vruh) and thus I post it here -

During the Vikes loss (yippie!) to the Jets... specifically toward the end of the game , I noticed he was holding his throwing arm and wincing a bit after what seemed like every play.

My friend pipes up with "Dude, check him out, that fucker is totally acting like he's hurt". I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone for a second and said "Why? 'Cause he's trying to get sympathy flags from the refs?" and he's like "Fuckin-a".

So sure enough, on the next play, he makes a "lazer" throw at full Favre-velocity.

I didn't DVR the game so I can't watch it again but - did anyone else notice this and feel like he was faking?

?

I dunno. I think his elbow probably is hurt. Epinephrine and endorphins can make you forget about nagging injuries for a bit. Just long enough for Favre to get fired up in a play and then come down again to realize that his elbow is hurt.

Pelissero pointed out in his Breaking Down The Tape (http://1500espn.com/sportswire/Breaking_down_the_tape_of_the_Vikings_loss_to_the_ Jets101310) column that Favre needs a big play to get excited to be there:

The difference in Favre's body language before and after his 37-yard touchdown strike to Moss was remarkable -- he seems to need a big play to get him excited to be on the field.

Pelissero also speculated that the elbow might not affect Favre's velocity but does seem to affect his accuracy.

It seems to me that he's more of a junky than anything. That's not really new, but this year he seems more desperate in the throes of his addiction to the big play.

Last year I do not think I was alone in feeling a bit bemused at Favre's controlled, contained, relatively error-free play throughout most of the Vikings 2009 season, as if his ultimate revenge on TT and the Packers was for him to finally grow up. He didn't revert until the New Orleans game. (He attended all of training camp in 2009)

This year he has either been out of synch with his receivers or throwing picks. (He did NOT attend all of training camp in 2010)

By the time he is 45 I fully expect him to appreciate the importance of attending training camp.

Yeah he was still able to throw the ball - it's tendinitis, it doesn't make it unusable, it just hurts like hell,a nd can get almost unusable as it progresses.

Of note, the issue didn't just flare up in that game. He had ice on it during a press conference last week, and was wearing a warming arm thingy notice din pictures of him at practice, wher ehe was limited because of it.

Also, he was holding it the entire second half, not just for parts of. Why not in the first? Vikings threw the ball 5 times in the first half.

Not sure there was any time for him to even wory about it hurting since childress decided "favre, fuck you, lets just pound AP and hope that beats the jets". When they opened it up, it was scary.

As long as Rodgers doesnt go down we have a chance to win any game. DD and Jennings are still standing. Quarless looks to be suitable at TE. RB is still the big ? mark on O. Dinged up yes, crippled no. The vikings and bears are also having injuries woes as well so at this point the NFCN is still kinda balanced. Men take what they want, pussies stand around and wait for it to come to them. This Packers team is loaded with puros hombres.

You're getting all holier-than-thou because I wrote this-

I look forward to seeing him go downhill as the year goes on, with those deep bombs to Moss and his elbow injury getting worse and worse as a result of each other.

Not entirely true. I had so many different routes home from elementary school that I sometimes went weeks without getting beaten up.

Wishing injury on a opponent is always pathetic IMO. Causing the injury is the thing to be proud of.

Guessing if we are gonna fight you would want me to throw down with some else first? If we are running a race you will want a headstart? if we play checker I should be blindfolded? If we played football you would want me to not have gear on?

Dont need a speech, your opinion speaks for itself.

Never asked for your opinion, but thanks anyway. I'm not here for morality lessons, and couldn't give much less of a shit what you think about me enjoying the Vikings' current struggles.

You can wish them all the success in the world, and I can wish them nothing but failure, and it means nothing either way. I'm not making his elbow worse; I'm just laughing at the traitorous "creepy douche" as he fails. And you're not making his elbow better. You're just spouting about how manly and pious you think you are, just like Woodbuck does.

And your examples are way, way off. Just dumb and incorrect, really. The JS is reporting that 6 Packer starters sat out of practice yesterday, so it would be more like a blindfolded guy wanting you to play checkers against him blindfolded, or a guy with no football gear wanting you to not wear gear playing football against him. Injuries are part of football, and the Vikes are arguably much healthier than the Packers right now, so I see no need to pity Screaming Lord Byron about his sore elbow.

I think Brett has been a huge douche lately, and I'm free to laugh at what I see as karma catching up to him, just as you're free to preach in broken English about your manliness and virtue. :glug:

Brett Favre suffers a very unfortunate mishap in practice

By Doug Farrar

It really hasn't been a great week for America's Quarterback, one Brett Lorenzo Favre. Between the Jenn Sterger/massage therapist allegations, Deadspin photos/voicemails and his sub-par performance against the New York Jets in a "Monday Night Football" loss,

Favre has endured one headache after another. Not to mention the idea of losing up to $100 million in endorsements, and the elbow tendinitis that kept him from practicing on Wednesday. And it's probably pretty cold in the Favre home these days.

He's definitely capable of pulling a stunt like that Zig IMO, and we'll never really know, but what tells me he's got something wrong (and why not the elbow) is how shitty he's been playing. He's never been the beacon of accuracy, but he's not normally this bad. Something's not right.

Definitely Mad.

It's got to be ... 'Favre and the Vikings' Vs 'the Packers', in next weeks game @ Lambeau Field or a win rings way too hollow.

It's got to be all about 'that DRAMA', or else, last season's 0-2 Vs 'Favre and the Vikings' keeps right on 'a ticking' in OUR HISTORY and Brett Favre's.

That, is all too clear.

We want Brett Favre back in Lambeau with 'the Minnesota Vikings' and nothing else. :)

You're still confused, apparently. I never said I was hoping Faver had to sit out vs. the Packers. I said this-

I look forward to seeing him go downhill as the year goes on, with those deep bombs to Moss and his elbow injury getting worse and worse as a result of each other.

Nice of me? No. True? Yes. Fuck Faver and Moss and all those purple and yellow fucks. I hope his bad karma ruins his long awaited union with his dream receiver, and the Vikings go down the shitter this year only to have to rebuild without Faver or Moss next year. It would make me smile. Does that make me an asshole? Yeah, maybe. Don't care.

As far as the Packers beating the Vikings, we all want that, obviously. I just think it's a lot more likely if the Vikings are similarly healthy to the Packers, as opposed to their first string playing healthy against our third string guys. I don't think we win with scrubs against a healthy-armed Faver and Moss to chuck up prayers to against our 4th(?) string S.

I feel no sympathy for Brent and his fucking elbow that only hurts when he misses on a pass, but feels great when he throws a TD, and he pumps his arm in celebration. Fuck him. That's the moral of the story to me. If you think that makes me a pussy, fine.

I desire that. We encourage more blood to get involved positively in 'OUR FORUM'. To realize a certain comfort and a willingness to participate in a collective sense of achievement and enjoyment @ Packerrats. That's an ideal, that I personaly believe is positive and achievable, if we all agree to get on board towords being team players @ Packerrats. :)

Not petty back and forths, that may be otherwise interpreted as selfish and/or immature and worse. Destructive to you and this forum in general.

I think it's pretty obvious that the off-field stuff is really getting to Brett. IMO, he sees the walls closing in on his career and it's not how he wanted it to end.

Should the Vikes lose this week to Dallas, their season is likely over and I wouldn't be surprised if he then pulls himself out of the lineup with the elbow injury, thus ending his streak on his say-so and not the leagues suspension which I believe will be given to him.

If you think that makes me a pussy, fine.

http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2010101100/2010/REG5/vikings@jets/recap/full-story#tab:watch

If you watch the 2nd TD pass to harvin, and look closely in the highlight, right when he is done celebrating, you can see him hold up his right arm in a way suggesting pain, and I distinctly remember when watching the game, after that play, he was holding it as he went to the sideline. The first TD was moss you could tell he was pumped, pure adrenlin. He most likely didn't even notice it hurt again until he settled down ont he sideline.

The next TD to harvin was one of those passes that Favre has sometimes been told he can't make anymore. Pressure in his face, about to take a big hit, very tight anticpation pass, and he has to throw his WR open. If he is off, very well that turns into a pick and him taking a big hit without protection himself for no good reason.

After he got done celebrating that play, he was seen holding his arm on the sidelines as well.

It's much easier to see noticable pain when your on the field and "miss" passes because your not excactly pumping up with excitement.

Fans see what they want to see I guess, and in this case, it makes you feel better to assume favre is faking an injury that has limited him in practice, made him admit publicly he may need to sit, has been seen iced, has seen in both practice in game with him holding it, he has to wear a special arm sleeve to keep it warm when playing, and overall is in equal pain both on good and bad plays, with people not factoring in the excitement factor.

I once nearly broke my ankle in a soccer game playing goalie, and on the play that it happened on I made what I consider the best stop of my life at the position. I stopped a potential game winning penalty kick with just seconds left in the 2nd round of the playoffs. We went into overtime and ended up winning.

I didn't play the entire OT period. At the time of me making that stop, and watching time expire. I was sprinting back to our sindelines being mobbed by my teammates in celebration of the big stop, all these congrats, etc etc.

As I calmed down a little, my ankle really started to hurt, and within 5 minutes, I was limping badly and couldn't go back in the game. Adrenilin and excitement have a way of masking pain temporarily. We all know this, and I highly doubt mr. favre is magically faking an injury to "cover up" the rest of his media mess.

Anyways, I do wnat the packers to beat them, but the vikigns are much healthier than us. It's going to be an uphill climb, especially in minnesota wins this week and needs the win against us to crawl back to .500 and back into the divsion race (that is, assuming the bears lose a game)

:glug:Since you speak such proper fucking English you might have read how I said I want the Packers to BEAT the vikings at full strength. Unless the English I speak is alot different then yours, Im sure it is, BEAT would indicate I want the Packers to BEAT the vikings. My opinion is not the other way around. My opinion is simply that it is weak not wanting the Packers to BEAT the vikings with Favre. Wouldn't a true Packer backer want to see them win one against him after last season? In case you didnt know those two games cost the division and a 1st rd bye. You prefer they are without their starting QB. That is weak IMO and that is all it is. My opinion and so what if you didnt ask for it you got it anyways. Expect to get it today, tomorrow, and anytime in the future I disagree or maybe even agree with you. At least when you post here cuz I dont post anywheres else. If that comes off as aggressive to you you well what can I say. I apologize for you being a sweet and gentle guy?

You're still confused, apparently. I never said I was hoping Faver had to sit out vs. the Packers. I said this-

I look forward to seeing him go downhill as the year goes on, with those deep bombs to Moss and his elbow injury getting worse and worse as a result of each other.

I don't think he's faking it. I do think he might be exaggerating it to excuse his shitty play so far this season.

So laughing at his bad karma for a sore elbow makes you a pussy, but laughing at his bad karma for nailing him in the nuts is OK. Wow, that's a fine line. :lol:Let's be honest, when is is NOT funny for someone to get hit in the nuts? The fact that it happened this week with all the crotchshot news makes it that much funnier and just kinda sums everything up.

What are you doing, get louder at lambeau?

Please read my post ' just previosly ' to one of our members.

Can you take ' any sense ', from that post? Use that common sense 'to me' approach, in terms related to how you post in the future?

I have faith that you do and you will.

The bickering and attacks have to end, in order to make Packerats a more healthy environment. Healthy debate in terms focused on respect for the person you post, and overall good will in terms of the healthy environment @ Packerrats should be your focus.

Not petty back and forths, that may be otherwise interpreted as selfish and/or immature and worse. Destructive to you and this forum in general.

We can all do better and try harder to make Packerrats an awesome fan site. I wish you to help out there

The question is, what are you doing, Woodbuck27? You've taken upon yourself to determine what PR should and should not look like?

I agree, personal attacks are terrible and should be called out. But to dictate to the entire membership here how they should and shouldn't treat eachother is a privilige reserved for the owner, and the owner alone. Not yours.

If two posters go toe to toe, sure, post that you think it sucks. It's your right and, according to the descrption of yourself, your compulsion. I do it when I feel compelled to as other posters do also.

But know your place around here. You are a poster, not better or worse than any other poster here. You are not in a position of authority, you have not been charged by the posters as our spokesposter and you can only speak for yourself with any certainty.

You certainly don't speak for me.

In the context of having a Packer get hit in the nuts, or maybe a lot of other teams' players, maybe I can share Woody's view.

But this is Packer Enemy #1 IMO. I think it's hysterical. If it were Moss, I would cry laughing after the Lambeau Mooning.

And, I can vividly imagine Deanna throwing the ball or at least wishing she had.

Considering how over sext Bert is and the timing of when the story first broke, maybe Deanna hasn't let him near her in months. Maybe the elbow tendinitis has a completely different source: Too much time with Mrs Palmer and her 5 daughters!

" The Packer Home you seek is not the one we seek. " Tarlam!

Just noticed this exerpt fr. your post above and took particular note of it Tarlam!

Can you be more specific in terms of:

a) Who composes the 'we' you refer too?

b) What sort of Packer home do you and those posters you refer to as 'we' in terms of 'we seek' .... seek?

b1) What is 'your group's'... 'ideal Packer home' ... look like? I'm just wondering?

c) Would 'your group' exclude anyone that doesn't necessarily comply with 'your ideal Packer home's' ... prerequisite of belonging or fitting in?

d) What are those prerequisites, if 'in fact', any would specificaly exist?

Consider this Tarlam! I'm wondering?

Is your groups 'ideal Packer home' so different from mine Tarlam!?

My ideal Packer forum home. Packerrats and an overall attitude of growth.

* My 'ideal Packer home', offers no exclusions, a positive agenda with a central theme. That theme centered on 'the fact' that we're all differnt @ Packerrats. Posters in 'my ideal Packer home', 'of course' realizes and respects that 'as a fact of life', regard and sense. Thus manages it's affairs accordingly.

*My 'ideal Packer home', offers a sense of PEACE, Harmony and Respect for those differences that do exist for all members, both new and old.

* My 'ideal Packer home', doesn't tolerate any poster attacking another or otherwise disrespecting one single member @ Packerrats beyond a possible momentary flare up in terms of some dispute.

* My 'ideal Packer home', is a safe environment that doesn't penalize anyone, unless a member is acting obviously oppressively and persists in such behaviour.

* My ideal home attracts new members that feel they can fit in easily and that right away may desire to make a positive contribution.

Wouldn't you desire to be a member of such a Green Bay Packer home?

You're a riot Woody. First you tell me to ignore you, then you thow me a barrage of questions to which you demand answers! Which is it gonna be, Woodbuck27?

You're obviously paranoid if you think I represent a group here at PR. Unlike you, my "we" was specific: NOBODY IS OR HAS SUPPORTED YOUR ATTEMPT TO BE THE MORAL POLICE. By default, there is a "we" that you are to o proud to admit exists.

The "we" I refer to are gowing; they have taken to encourage you to cease. In this, the banned Favre thread and the other Favre thread, the number of posters is growing that do not support you. Openly.

You were here at the very beginning of this place and part of the "we" that thrashed out the do's and don'ts after our collective experiences at JSO and UNF Christian site. Joe the Admin has put his spin on the place, banned a few renegades and by and large our Packer home is to everyone's liking. Except yours.

You love truth and facts. Those are facts. that's the truth. It's time you face realitry, you've manouvered yourself into a minority of one.

OK I've got the 'WE' part of your post. Thanks.

"You're obviously paranoid if you think I represent a group here at PR." Tarlam!

I'm not paranoid about anything that transpires @ Packerrats. I support everything that negates any poster, ever feeling any dispair moreso suffers such a sickness as paranoia.

Certainly and unfortunately some were banned for reasons beyond my scope of knowledge. That is always unfortunate. I assume those posters continued to simply damage themselves.

..."our Packer home is to everyone's liking. Except yours." Tarlam!

I obviously like Packerrats. I've managed to withstand a good amount of heat fr. you and others over the past 8 days. I'm not masochistic so it's this. I enjoy Packerrats

Back to me and paranoid. Not hardly a description of me Think and spin whatever you desire. I'll just try to promote Packerrats and grow as a poster here. I'm too centered on what I hold is decency to be paranoid.

It's a disappointment to me when PEACE is offered, (as I did earlier today); then you get your 'hind in the air' and 'go on the attack'. OK Tarlam! That's not a tight corner. :) Have a lovely weekend.

GO PACK GO Vs Miami.

Woodbuck please stop the preaching. It is much worse than 2 members going toe-to-toe. If you have issues in the future please PM the Admin and let him deal with the situation as he deems fit.

No! You take that action.

My position is that we get our shit together using some common decency and openness. To see all sides in terms positive, not repurcussions involving suspensions and people leaving here because of intimidations or otherwise, ThunderDan.

Yeah, but see, you're the only poster on an evangelistic mission and nobody asked you to be. You're the only one stirring the pot. People are reacting to you. Don't you get it?

The Packer Home you seek is not the one we seek. Get over yourself.

My nane is Ed. woodbuck27 :)

GO PACKERS !

I believe "hoes" is the accepted pluralization of "ho", as potatoes is for potato.

I obviously like Packerrats.

I don't doubt that for a second, but you are the only one promoting posters act in a certain way, your way. I admit it was pretty bad for a while when Joe took over, but it's been far more civilized since a few renegades have disappeared.

I've managed to withstand a good amount of heat fr. you and others over the past 8 days. I'm not masochistic so it's this. I enjoy Packerrats

I've attacked you. Nobody else. Every other poster that has offered you advice did so with utmost respect, from what I saw. No heat. If you take constructive critisism you need to deal with it.

I'm too centered on what I hold is decency to be paranoid.

Being paranoid about a thing and being diagnosed with paranoia are two completely different animals. I know. Unfortunately, it killed my wife. Your repeated assertions that there is an in crowd or a group with a demonic agenda to wreck the place is false. At least, I don't belong to any in crowd and my agenda is to learn, chat and enjoy. If I can contribute that's a bonus. But by insisting those parties exist, despite providing any eveidence that it is indeed the truth, well, let me just say paraniod isn't too bad a choice of word.

This is merely a friendly debate going on at this time Sparkey. Do you feel any 'HEAT' coming off of it.

During this exchange I have provided you with facts, not attacks. Since it's not going your way, you revert to describing how decent a man you are, and how I've attacked you.

You offer peace, but on your terms only. Take the Peace that was dictated to Germany after WWI. It produced Adolf Hitler.

This is a forum and tempers flair sometimes, especially mine, I will again politely remind you that you are not garnering any support. Nothing is broken, nothing needs fixing.

You are the Don Quijote of PR when it comes to this subject. Ironically, I think in real life you and I could actually have been mates. I enjoy the company of passionate people.

These types of admissions have been heaping from posters not named SC or Tar, and it's a downright shame.

For someone who obviously puts so much effort into being a contributor, the contributions are being ignored. The exact opposite of what he's trying to achieve.

Woody, take the advice. Fritz hasn't so much as swatted a cyber fly around here, ever, but when he uses words like "coherent" to suggest your posts do not provide that, when Chan "can't be bothered" you may need to ask yourself whether the posters here need to adapt or you.

Hmm, Wonder if I should start Moss this week in FF.
I'm thinking Favre and Moss are gonna want to hook up just a few times Sunday night. If Clay can't go and we get no pressure on Favre it could be 150+ 2TD day for the Mossman.

Well, I heard that Favre was texting Moss about hooking up, but Moss told Brent he was too old, and married anyway.

On pace for 19 TDs, 27 INTs, 86.0 passer rating. Worst year of his career.

Keep that fork handy, he'll be done anytime now! The epilogue to an otherwise outstanding career full of achievements will give me great satisfaction. I wouldn't be this bitter if he kept out of the NFC North.
