Where's Ras today?

At the game, I'm sure. He's a season ticket holder.

Wow...thanks Harvey and Falco. I didn't know he was a season ticket holder. What did he do to piss someone off so bad?

MateoInMex
11-09-2008, 03:00 PM
Aikman says the Vikings will be lucky if they hold the Packers to a field goal? Other way around...they'll be lucky to get a freaking field goal. This is unbelievable. How many things will continue to screw the Packers late in games?

Last week it was the defense.

Packers4Glory

thank you penalties!

Tennessee about to run out the clock on Chicago. They have the ball 1st and 10 at midfield, 2 min warning, and Chicago has no more timeouts.

EIGHT in the box, hell, 9

Packers4Glory
11-09-2008, 03:02 PM
still not a good feeling. a TD wins it and they can still run the ball.

Fred's Slacks
11-09-2008, 03:03 PM
DON'T PLAY SOFT. We can afford a quick score. We can't afford a long sustained drive for a score.

11-09-2008, 03:08 PM
Here's where the defense starts to meltdown..get another turnover!

It'll have to be a fumble...theyre running all over us.

And Gus Frerrotte, who's been ineffective all game completes passes...and opened up the running game even more to put the Vikings ahead.

This Mike McCarthy defense only motors 3 and a half quarters.

Gunakor
11-09-2008, 03:08 PM
MM it's a bad challenge... what are you thinking?

You need that timeout...

Bretsky
11-09-2008, 03:08 PM

DON'T FRICKIN CHALLENGE THIS

Fred's Slacks

MM it's a bad challenge... what are you thinking?

You need that timeout...

YUP

Even if it's overturned odds are they will get the TD

MN runs the time down below 2 minutes

Iron Mike
11-09-2008, 03:09 PM
MM it's a bad challenge... what are you thinking?

You need that timeout...

It's not like we need a time out with under 3 minutes left.

imscott72

It's a TD....Lots of time left though and we have a money kicker....Not over yet..

Gunakor
11-09-2008, 03:09 PM
I want to say there's no point to challenging but we sure as hell know our offense isn't going to win this for us.

Even if it's overturned, it's bad because then they can take more time off the clock before scoring. Just let them have the TD and save time and timeouts to put together a winning drive.

HarveyWallbangers
11-09-2008, 03:09 PM
I concur, why challenge?

Thats what i was thinking. The old Holmgren trick. Let em in so we can get the ball back..

Fosco33
11-09-2008, 03:10 PM
Only if they saw AP lose possession as he then 'fumbled' into the endzone... touchback.

But weak - very weak call by M3.

This one just stings...

Looking at offense alone - we didn't deserve to win. Had a shot - all you can really ask on the road playing a decent division rival.

Glad we're done playing them - back to null for this series this year.

Plus the Bears lost - so we're not out of it by any means.

That said, there was a whole lot more to this game than a missed field goal.

MM called that ending too conservatively; I'd say 40 and in is a chip shot in a dome you can count on. You don't count on a long field goal just because your kicker has a strong enough leg to kick it that far.

Minnesota is a power team.... the Packers are finesse team.

The Vikings pushed em all over the field all day... the fact that the Packers even had a chance is a fluke.

A power team with a POS QB like Ferotte... that's what power football can do for you, you can hide your POS QB behind that big OL, and just pound the ball.

The Packers will never win a championship with Rodgers at QB... the Packers are just wasting their time until they change systems, or find the "second coming".

At one point, we drafted 3 DBs 1,2 and 3 to counter Moss. Time to do the same with the OL/DL to counter AP and generate a running game of our own. Our lack of pass rush/inabiity to stop the run is killing us on D and the lack of skill/beef up front is killing us on O.

I'm not laying the loss on the kicker. There are gaping holes in this current Packers team that far outweigh the performance of their kicker. But you gotta make those FG's in a freaking dome. Kickers get paid what the get paid to make those 50-54 yarders...that's why the kick in the NFL.

I felt a lot better about the loss in Tennessee because the Packers played a better all around game.

But today there was some pretty big blunders. The o-line has went from suspect to being a complete liability. Not just because they can't get a decent running game going on a more consistent basis...but Ted Thompson's lack of coordinating a better offensive line is threatening their future at quaterback.

Rodgers is a sitting duck.

And that is the end of this season. So let's see now. We went from 1 play away from going to the SB to being 4-5 and being a LONGSHOT to even make the play-offs. My My, now what is different about this season from last?????????????????????????????????????????????? ?

Yeah, but you clowns go on and tell me about the great job Thompson is doing. Where oh where is that 16th pick of the 2007 draft at?

Peterson made Hawk look like a kid today. Can we finally call the 5th pick in the 2006 draft a bust?

Yeah, Teddy give Poppinga some more cash for doing NOTHING on the field. Hell, might as well extend his contract again.

I guess that arguement I had with a few of you about who really was responsible for last year has been settled once and for all. It sure was'nt Teddy now was it?

Is'nt it amazing what difference it makes to have a QB who is decisive and does'nt play scared? He makes EVERYONE around him better. Good things seem to happen.

It's a shame that it's gonna take a whole lot more pain and suffering for Packer fans to go through before what has been obvious to some becomes obvious to all.

And just a little side note to the morons who used words like "diva" to describe Favre. I'd rather have a "diva" at QB and be 8-1 than be where we are now. It's easy not to throw picks when you rarely take chances or am I the only one sick of 4yd passes when it's 3rd and 10? But yeah, you guys know better. Vikes D played well but Frerotte was really off today. Pack did apply some nice presure.

Vikes did what they've done the last few weeks and gotten all over the QB.

Man, what a game.

Pack fans were pretty quiet most of the game but when they took the lead it was REALLY loud for two drives then they got quiet again.

McCarthy and Chilly both made some really stupid challenges.

Any word on Barnett? He spent the rest of the game icing his right knee sitting by himself.

I think Jared Allen is going to play. I see Chilly as a sneaky, lying little ass hole. He fits right in up there.

Good call. After the game he (Allen) said the swelling was down this morning so he got some range of motion. It was real sore so they shot it up, put on a harness and the rest is history.

They are healthy now as the only player down is Cullen Jenkins and they pick up Harrell in his second week

After AROD leads the team to wins over Minnesota and Da Bears next week, TT will take another step toward feeling good about his decision to move on with AROD

They are the better team
They have more talent

I picked GB for decent points in the confidence pool; just raised their point level and lowered the Jags as I have a feeling Del Rio has lost that locker room and they are at risk of losing to the hapless Lions.

Green Bay wins this one

It's not... but we cannot score any points.. For fucks sakes.. The defense got gashed, sure, but few teams will win with an offense that cannot generate at least 17 points a game. I say this number because that is what Baltimore and Tampa have publically stated they expected their offense to score to give them a chance to win back in their dominating defensive days.

Also, if A-Rod is a little less careless with the ball and less skittish, we win this game. He gave them 4 points, and possibly more based on field position.

BallHawk

I agree Aaron didn't have a good game, but bottomline is the run defense needs to stop giving up points. We can't turn into the "Score a lot of points and hope the defense holds up" Packers of 2003.

Only thing is the 2003 defense at least made some of the points quick and painless. These 12+ play drives with run after run are tiresome and take time off the clock.

???

16 points was a lot last week??? You cannot have so little offense that you keep putting the ball in ADs hands.. He's going to win that battle every time.

Defense is part of the problem no doubt, but the offense is a far bigger concern in my opinion. 4 out of the past 7 games have been beyond awful.

He played awful at Dallas, too. Just because he doesn't chuck up any picks doesn't mean he isn't playing awful. At QB, you need to drive the offense. He failed to do that.

Top 10 teams make up a third of the league BH. With our offensive firepower at the skill positions (best receiving corps in the NFL, strong armed QB, speedy, powerful running back), we should have a very respectable offense that can put up points with the best of them. We do not.

Playoffs? We're in third place in an awful division. That's thinking way too far ahead!! We are 1-3 historically against Chicago since MM has been here, and they look an awful lot like Tennessee to me. That is going to be an absolute battle.

I don't want to say its a must-win, but their chances of getting to the playoffs are pretty slim imo if they don't win this week.

Rodgers was getting mobbed all day. He never had time to set and throw. How is him moving out of the pocket when a DE is bearing down bad QB play? How can he step up in the pocket if the pocket collapses?

Partial, I respect your football knowledge, but I vehemently disagree with your statement that we are a QB away, based on the fist 9 games. I think, we have a GREAT QB. At very least, in the making.

And today's O'line wasn't up to the challenge. Even M3 said that in his presser.

So, Partial, with all due respect, I'll go with M3 and what I saw over what you tell me you see.

Nobody denies that they are a QB away.

But they are still a QB away.....until they get that QB they will continue to be a 7-11 win team.

They're better than the Pack imo. Our team is a quarterback away as well.

foolishness; aaron's stats are GREAT! and he doesnt throw balls up for grabs

You, Sir, are a baiter. Your sarcasm isn't very appropriate and I, for one, wish you would post with a little more grammar.

I don't believe you are a fan of the Packers. I believe you have become a Jets fan. More power to you, but please refrain from dumping on your old team. Brett Favre seems to have stopped it. Please follow his example.

You aren't even a Sir. You are a little boy, still in a classroom somewhere trying to acquire an education that I can buy and sell. You are far worse than a baiter. You are a troll and you admitted to it on another thread. You make posts to stir fans up. Occasionally, you will bless us with a real opinion of yours, but we should guess what's accurate and what's bait.

I have rarely reacted to anything you have posted in the past, and since I read your outting, you can be certain I won't react to anything you post from here on out. Good Day to you.
