No, I mean where was he? 19 carries for the day? That's it?

BF threw 46 passes today for crying out loud!

MINNESOTA VIKINGS

Passing CP/AT YDS TD INT

B. Favre 24/46 301 2 1 (2 sacks and at least 2 delay of games)

Rushing CAR YDS TD LG

A. Peterson 19 85 0 35
C. Taylor 6 16 0 8
B. Favre 1 1 0 1
P. Harvin 1 -8 0 -8

That's 94 yards rushing (net).

The 49ers have a serious 'D'.

I guess I'd consider myself spoiled if my top RB was averaging 4.5 ypc against a defense so great. I would keep feeding him the ball All Day. That's what I was getting at. 4.5 ypc earns you more than 19 carries, and I figured if they leaned on Peterson a bit more maybe the game wouldn't have been so close. Favre showed us today that he can still get it done in the clutch, but without seeing the game - just the box score - I wondered if it had to come to that in the first place. That's all.

Favre was kind of up and down all day. He had some terrible passes, he had a great pass to Berrian that Berrian dropped and that last pass was a dart exactly where it had to be.

Vikings still need to get it together though, they had an average day on offense and defense....maybe a little below average.....Harvin is amazing though.

Harvin looks to me as the leading candidate for NFC 'rookie of the year'. Harvin's explosive 101 KO return for a TD Vs the 49ers was huge for Minny.

Woody, the 21st century is paging, please pickup.

Denver's O-line is awesome. They are the offensive MVP in this town.

It's incredible. When there's a run, guys on the defense are being moved away from the ball. When a pass, freakin' Orton has tons of time.

Thinking about it, that is probably the best team to lose to.

Heavily favored and we lose to a crappy team at home that is out of conference. MM can use this game as an example to young guys that you can't just show up and expect to win and since it was a non conference game it won't affect any playoff tiebreakers.

Wow Seattle on the move.[/b]

Should have never felt bad. Bengals have quality players and Lewis can coach D. they were also a team many felt, like the packers, could make the jump.

Anytime you have a qb like palmer and 3 quality wrs like ocho, henry, and coles and a decent running game....you are gonna be in games.

Let's not forget who "started" the great USC Qb tradition.

I thought you guys said Sharper sucks and all his picks are meaningless?

I was talking to my dad about why we cut or traded him (whichever, we got rid of him is the point) when he has still been solid for the last 4 years. He played hurt the year we got rid of him and the Packers didn't want to pay him what he was worth. But your Vikings also got rid of him. I don't get why you get rid of a solid safety when you have no replacement.

I would have rather had him and Collins back there instead of screwing around with Rouse, Bigby, Martin, and Smith.

He wasn't a good fit for the defense Chilly and Tomlin put in but despite the fact this entire forum constantly ragged on the guy he was a big playmaker.

He played well for the Vikings and obviously is playing well for the Saints. He's near the end of his career so I'm cool with the Vikings replacing him.

That's true so it makes more sense for the Vikings to get rid of him. Made no sense when the Packers did it though.

I think the Pack was pretty flush against the cap. They wanted him to take a big paycut and the Vikings offered him the same amount he was going to make when the Packers let him go.

there were options. Sharper knew that. Ted didn't want to use the options, so he waived him.

We get it for the Packers since we haven't lived in Green Bay for almost 10 years now. No way to guarantee the Packer game without it, and you get to watch football all day so it's worth it. And when we go to Cardinal games we just record a game or 2 of interest and watch it with super fast forwarding in between plays and commercials. Finish a game in about 40 minutes.

This happened a little earlier in the Dallas game when they scored the 1 yard TD run. If you saw it, didn't it look like the Dallas running back was pushed into the endzone? At what point is the guys forward progress stopped? It's a penalty for an offensive guy to push his player into the endzone right? Was this changed? I saw it in the Notre Dame game yesterday and again today in the Dallas game. I thought both of the plays were BS but maybe I'm wrong and they changed the rule, or the refs are blind, which wouldn't be hard to believe.

Yes, the NFC North will be known as the Division with the best group of QB's by season end, if not already!

He started to run around in the pocket like Favre circa 1993. When pressure showed up he ran away from it and into more pressure. He's young and will learn. Running game was not helping much in the second half either. They kept trying to run wide against a D that was faster.

How bad is Oakland? That team is just embarassing. Down 28-0 with 11 minutes left in the 2nd.

Gosh darnit I have Eli riding the pine. I think the biggest reason I suck at FF is I don't pay nearly enough attention to matchups. Dude is gonna put up sick numbers today...

He's already got 175 yards and 2 TD. Oops

You sound like Ty with the sarcastic attitude. Is that what you're shooting for?

How's that sarcasm? You said you should have paid attention to the matchups and started Eli. I pointed out his stats and said you made a mistake.

Gotta side with Bossman, he was agreeing with you. Calm the fuck down, geez.

Viking defense is getting sliced and diced but they keep getting the turnover before the score.......Rams have to be supremely bummed.

Me too P, but only because I watched some dumb FF now show on espn this morning and they all agreed that Manning wasn't a good play today.
So i go and replace him with a banged up Hasselback......D'OH!!!
sO MUCH FOR LISTENING TO THE EXPERTS LOL. 8-)

Vikes looked very good on the last drive. It was the first one I saw, so who knows. Anybody still think this was a bad move for them? They're gonna be 5 and oh baby!

Is it throwback day for the Rams or are they back to yellow instead of gold?

I like the way the Lions play. They're a scrappy team. I think they're going to be good in a few years. They are playing hard but just don't have the talent right now to match up. That said, the positive signs are there and their young QB looks to be the real deal and has the physical abilities to be special. Pettigrew also looks like he could develop into a great player to compliment CJ.

Good drive for Detroit that ends in dissapointment :(

Dante went from stud to dud faster than anyone I've ever seen the NFL. His knee must have been torn up far worse than your typical ACL injury.

Throwbacks.

Vikes offense hasn't been too bad. Defense looks much better this half.

You're smart tho and know that numbers dont mean evrything! In other words, Im sure HE doesnt feel he's balln as well as he planeed back in july/august....

i could be contradicting myself tho b.c when i like cats i do want them to have stellar stats, not jus win

At the end of the day is IS a team game and about wins but if i were a pats fan back in 07 i woulda been stoked about the numbers as im sure they were

No, that's Phil Loadholt. He's out but I don't think it's serious.

Ras, looks like your boys are gonna go undefeated huh?

I highly doubt it.

Be optimistic; I looked at you all's schedule last night and the only games I'd fear if I were you is AT steelers and NYG

OF COURSE ther's always the possibility of a let down/trap game but talent-wise = no worries

How long is Sullivan out?
